Is there any reason our ship couldn't hold a small fighter inside to use for space combat, ala Tantive IV holding Grevious' fighter towards the end of RotS, or the Normandy holding the Mako/Hammerhead?...  [Read More]

Well Jedi in this era being overexposed is no biggie. Maybe that Wookiee just tried really hard. Hell, Thrawn himself as an alien and achieved the highest military rank short of Vader and Palpatine. An Admiral is smallfry compared to that....  [Read More]

Maybe they'd limit Chiss to one class to limit their overexposure in this era. If all Imperial classes could be Chiss, you'd have a lot more Chiss than if they're limited to just one class. Limiting them to Agent will keep their numbers relatively un...  [Read More]

That doesn't exclude faction-specific races either. Humans will be for both factions, Twi'lek and Rattataki too, but Chiss are Imp-only. I guess the precedent is how 90% of Chiss in the EU have been on the side of Empire or Empire-affiliated grou...  [Read More]

I thought they only said Chiss is Imperial-only, but Twi'lek and Rattataki are open to both factions. I didn't hear anything on Chiss specifically being Agent-only. I like class-restricted races. It allows more creativity in those species specificall...  [Read More]

They should have done this in the Galaxies time frame. Of course that first they should finish with Galaxies first... The big problem with the SWG time frame is how limited it is. You can't do anything with all of the major characters because they'r...  [Read More]

If you look at the Dev Tracker on Lucasforums, Drew Karpyshyn made a post on the TOR boards clarifying that Hoth was indeed named at least as early as TOR, and that it wasn't named after Lord Hoth. Lord Hoth was possibly named after the planet, but i...  [Read More]

What canon does the TOR attack on the Jedi Temple break? I thought we got rid of most of the problems of clashes on the Republic's age with the Ruusan Reformation retcons around the time of TPM and AotC....  [Read More]

I'd say it's faithful in both ways. They stick to the lore of worlds, they're not doing anything lore-breaking like TCW did with Ryloth(grrr). Plus they're using lore sources of all types, from the movies(with planets like Tatooine, Coruscant, and Ho...  [Read More]

Plus at least BioWare is sticking to the lore more than the Clone Wars cartoon. Sure BioWare is reusing movie planets like Hoth, but at least they aren't completely changing a planet's climate like Clone War' writers did with Ryloth when they changed...  [Read More]

Thermopolae Sure it's only 2500 years, but that's about right. Seeing as how they have galactic records and such, we're talking documented and recorded history. Heck they even use the same language(galactic basic). So yeah, I'd expect the Empire woul...  [Read More]

And there will be nothing there again after the Empire and Republic and privateers clean up their ship wreckage, which should take a decade tops. That still leaves 3490 years for nothing to keep being there until ESB happens. A lot can happen in 3500...  [Read More]

How could they have shown Hoth in an original way? :P There's only so many ways to show a barren snowscape. Even in the movies it was just snowdrifts. The Hoth of TOR is showing icy canyons and stuff we didn't see in ESB. :P I'll easily admit that a...  [Read More]

Well I don't think the Empire and Republic are going to stay and make Hoth their home. They're only there long enough to recover their wrecked ships, then they'll leave. It actually fits nicely with Hoth looking untouched in ESB. We have 3500 years f...  [Read More]

Star Wars isn't about time travel though. There is no convenient time travel method that everyone can use. There are magical godlike dragons who guard the timestreams. I'd rather TOR just leave time travel alone and making great storylines without it...  [Read More]
