I have always wondered how did Palpatine become sith?
Atleast the movies dont revealed, he is a key character but little is know from his past, could someone tell me how he turn to dark side?

not all Jedi/Sith need to use their lightsabers, Sidious most likely preferred to use his other powers rather than his skills with a lightsaber... and from what I remember from some old EU, i think it was a Sith named "Darth Bane" (correct me if i'm wrong)... I don't know much about it but *shrugs* that's all I can come up with

I believ Darth Bane was waaaaaaaaaaay back then. Palpatine wasn't even born then.

Darth Bane created the only 2 Sith rule so there wouldn't be another Sith War/sith fighting each other for power.

I've heard something like Darth Rage, but I think that's just supershadow crap.

I was always under the impression that Palpatine did get ahold of a sith holocron and that's how he was 'seduced' by the dark side. :D

The site is legit and pretty reliable for SW, so I believe this is true. Also, I remember reading over at theForce.net forums that Darth Imperius WAS Palpatine's master. :D

Darth Rage was Palpatine's/Sidious's apprentice AFTER Darth Maul died and BEFORE Darth Tyranus (Dooku).
