There's nothing I'd love to see more then the OT released on DVD.

I dont understand why GL wont release them on DVD. I mean, think of all the money he'd earn from this...at least the dough should influence him to release it on DVD...
he sees the special ed. as the final and only editions, made the way he original imagined.

The only reason I can think of that he wouldn't want to continue with what he started with, is that maybe somewhere along the way he decided to change the story a little bit. You know, like in the EU, maybe. The continuity.
Kinda like when you say something to someone, and 5 minutes later - after they are gone and it is too late - you think of the perfect thing you shoulda/coulda/woulda said.
Regardless of his reasons, tho, I think he should leave us the option of watching the Original.

I will really be shocked if the OT is released on DVD. He'd make a huge pile of money, and he could add in all sorts of stuff. Those DVD's would be my paradise.

Oh I agree totally. He'd be losing out on SO much money.....I can't even imagine the demand that they would have. Those movies have been enjoyed by several different generations and GL would really be silly to not put them out.
If he doesn't.....I'm afraid that Mr. Weasel will just have to rip out his throat. :D

He doesn't want the Original Trilogy to be released ever again, only the Special Edition.
I've been wondering about this for years now - Lucas better release the DVD of the OT sometime soon, before I assassinate him personally;)

Apparently the OT no longer represents GL vision of those movies, only the SE ones are the ones he recognises.
Which makes me very angry. He should give die hard fans of the OT like us a little something. It's very selfish of him not to.
It appears that GL is very selfish when it comes to SW but its his creation (a bloody fantastic one at that) so u have to respect his decision i spose.
