Well since no one ever goes to the skinning forum....I'll just make this preview here. Many people have asked me for a Jaina Solo skin to go with my Anakin and Jacen. Welp, here it is! I didn't want to release her alone though so I'm gonna send her in with an updated Jacen and Anakin skin.
Should be done soon. Gotta do team colors for them and a bit of other stuff.

I just got permission from the creator of the Grafox model to send in my skin of it:) . So be looking for that too....hes the guy in the background on my icon.
Well I fixed up Jaina quite a bit. Got the team colors for Anakin and Jaina done....look a lot better than the defaults imo...but I always like the blue team versions. Next I just gotta do Jacen.

Edit 2: With all due respect bleek, Jacen and Anakin look almost exactly alike. Perhaps you could redo Anakin? Here's a nice reference for him.

And you should use the Conquest I cover for reference to skin Anakin, it has a larger clearer image of his face.

Aw then I'm gonna disappoint you:( . I was starting a new skin to add to the pack, but I was looking at that Anakin Solo picture of him in his jedi suit....thought that would be perfect to do with the luke model, cept for the fact that he looks really young there.
Oh I'll just tell you. I thought Luke himself looks pretty bad a** in those pictures. The ones where he is dressed in all black with his hair slicked back. I was gonna try to make him using the Chriss model since the hair would look good on it I think. Also, who is that one guy jumping in that one picture where it has Luke's face and Anakin,Jacen, and Jaina. He is dressed all in black with long dark brown hair. He looks kinda kewl...and has the same clothes as Luke does.
I might have to spend some more time on everything. I might change Anakin Solo. Instead of making him in Jacen's type clothes, make him in that jedi outfit with darker hair. I've only seen him in one picture with Jacen style clothes on and they were orangish. In the end I think it will be better overall.
I'm pretty sure your mystery man on the Japanese front cover of Dark Tide is Kyp Kurron. I also like your other ideas, go for them :)

Really? I always thought that was Corran Horn! Kyp Durron doesn't really play a major role in the book, does he?
Well Corran has a white gleaming lightsaber but the mystery man could also be Ganner, probably is..
Kyp is too obsessed with his crappy Kyp's Dozen. I remember Ganner kicking Vong arse in the Dark Tides, yep, it's Ganner...
Heres a lil update on Jacen.
Better or worse? I changed the colors to match a different pictures I was using as a reference. Also changed his clothes a bit: pockets on his shirt, arms, and legs; his boots, his sleeves, and added a lot more wrinkles.

Oh yeah, also added some brighter areas in the hair, made the hair hanging down by his eye not so blurry, changes his eyebrows, changed his eyes, and tried to fix up his face a bit.
Awesome job bleek, the old Jacen had a wierd smile/mouth, I'm becoming very excited about this skinpack :)

Really? I luv the blue one the most! I like the 3 colors I used..thought they went together well and it looked really nice and neat. Oh well:p . I'll try to posts some pics later of Jaina Solo's team colors..got a lot of work tonight:( .
I started doing Anakin Solo. Instead of making him in that white and brown jedi outfit....I started making him in the orange clothes with the brown jacket over it. Thought it would be better because he seems much older and it would work better for the model.
If you can find any good pictures of him with those clothes on...a picture that includes his legs....that would be great!

Right now I don't know of any pictures that would show you what Anakin's pants looked like, perhaps I can find a description of them in the book?

I've finished the upper torso...and wow I've surprised myself. Its alot better than I thought it would be, think I'm beginning to improve on making clothing:p . Need to do the legs now and I'm gonna try to fix up his face and *try* to make his hair a lot better. Post some pics soon!
Since I've read every Star Wars book out there I grew to love the Solo kids.
Especially Anakin was always my favourite.
But now that I've seen your skins... it's hard to decide which one is the best.
Really great work, I'm glad you painted them.

We took everything off the computer ...BUT i saved the skins. Today I'm getting the disk from someone to put Photoshop on so I'll be back in business. I haven't gotten to do anything to the skins for about a week or so.
Another misfortune:( , I was making Anakin Solo in his jedi style clothes and the jacket/orange clothes. Sadly I saved over the torso part of the jacket one with the jedi style clothes. This is a set back but I'll redo it.
That's unforunate news, I'm still confident that your skins will kick ass ;) Looking forward to some good ole screenies :D

humm where can I get something to open pk3 files?
I use Winzip. All a pk3 file seems to be is a zipped file saved with a pk3 extension instead of zip.
Use it also to save the file when you are done.
WinRAR also works. I prefer WinRAR because it shows folders and such.
get pakscape. it's wayyyyy easier. hang on ill post a link to it soon..

Yeah Bleek disappeared quite a while ago, maybe he's been too busy with school or something. It's too bad too, I was really looking forward to these 3 skins. I hope they get released eventually, I was particularly looking forward to Jaina. :(
