This is my first map so go easy on me. I've been working on this for a couple of days. I will have the Millennium Falcon in it as soon as i get a model for it.

Not bad. Needs more light, but I'm sure you'll get to that in time.

i will probally finish the lighting last. as of now i have a mirrored floor. when i add more burshes, the floor drops my framerate from 90fps to 35-45fps. this is 1024x768 res. high detail/textures. my system:
athlon xp 1700+
geforce4mx 440 (64md ddr ram)
256mb ddr ram

should the mirrored floor stay or go?

Go. Once you start adding bots (or other people playing in the stage) expect it to plumet even further... you've got to find a balance between playability and looking good.

Change the shader for the mirror floor and favor a glossy floor. Your FPS will thank you.

Haven't seen the glossy floor shader. Was that the one that Dad*Mad used for Palace Wars? If so, where do I find it... I'd love to use it for some parts of Hogwarts.

i will try the glossy floor shader. i have added another screenshot with the mellinnium falcon. when i insert the model, it creates a leak in the map. the pointfile draws a line that is not even in the map. if i delete the model, the leak is gone. any ideas?
