The character is one that I created many years ago, with plans of doing a comic. Her name is Ogiko Matahachi© and she is the main character. The story takes place in feudal Japan, and she is a member of the warrior class--the Samurai. (yes, yes, I'm sure you already knew the warrior class is the samurai. I just wanted to make it sound dramatic :) )

Finally in the past month and 1/2, I've actually been able to sit down and actually start on the comic. Currently, though, I'm on a kind of sabitical(sp?) as my writer had to take time off to get some higher priority things out of the way.

Here is a render from Max of the model:

Here is the model in game:

and finally, some of the concept work for the character: (these images are kinda big)

Thanks guys. I've been tweaking the model the past couple days, so it deforms better the while moving.

As for the armor version, I've thopught about making it, but I'm not so sure. It might be kind of tough trying to keep the poly count down to a respectable level. Plus, the armor plates around the hips might not take to kindly to the JKII skeleton.

You should try to make a new model with the existing face. I am sure from what i have seen from YOUR work you can make it look good. Good Luck on this.

Thanks again for the offer, but right now, I'm just gonna leave the model as is. As for what model I'm gonna do next... I really have no clue.

AS for the RX-78-2 in JK II, I doubt it. Since the model would have to be fitted to use the JKII skeleton, which has human proportions. (I was a little ticked with this model as I had to chnge her body shape to fit the skeleton). As you know, the proportions on a mobile suit aren't very human.

Yea. I've seen your work on polycount. (the real reason I ended up in this topic at first. I have to say thats a pretty sweet model.
The armor would be cool but yea that'd be hell to get working with the skeleton.

Love your work on the gundam models for q3a.

Ronin i just wanna let you know i enjoy playing with this model. and one thing i noticed is its nicely detailed and it doesnt lag the game. most models this detailed lag my game. but it doesnt so i must say TOUCHE. go ahead take a bow for your excellent work. hopefully this will start an anime model revolution.
