A few rumours are spreading about SWG, not being released in the UK.

Also are they any Beta testers from Europe?

As I said in another thread here, as far as I understand there will be released in stores only in the U.S.

Online, however, is a different matter. ;)

I don't know od anyone beta testing. period. :D

I could ask around though. :)

Luey I think you are better off ordering it online from the US than waiting for it to come to a store there. But thats just my opinion.

It is an online only game. The tutorial will probably be the only thing you can do offline if that is even available. Unless you are behind a firewall that prevents access to the servers then you should be able to play from anywhere in the world. I know Everquest and DAoC has people playing from damn near every country imaginable so don't worry, you will be able to play :) You might not have the best selection of servers at first, but dont give up hope.

He meant (more precicely): "I posted that when I was at his house and the cookies made me post as him. Will it be online over here in the UK? I don't care about offline."

One thing I just learned about the release of Star Wars outside the U.S. :
Start Ordering, Boys & Girls!!! (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000694YE/ref=sr_aps_videogames_1_1/202-1519667-5432623) :D

I really wouldn't think there are any difference in them, since they are both English. :D

Wouldn't the game have some kind of PAL protector or something if it was ordered from the US?

I thought it'd be like Ps2 games, where you can't play American.

Well, unless they have recently included this in PC games, no, there's no PAL system. :) PC's are universal ... unless it ships on a DVD. Although, not sure about that either. :rolleyes:

Yeah, it seems the cycle goes;

1. A game is made in japan
2. Cuts half of the best bits off then gives to America
3. America cuts some of the remaining best bits off then hands it to the UK

And it'll probably get canned along the way too. Sucks huh?
