I'm currently working on a 2-1B Medical Droid (http://www.geocities.com/cadinth2k3/models/21b.html) map model for a map that I'm working on. (http://www.geocities.com/cadinth2k3/projects/cadinth.html)

The mesh is 3076 polys (modelled in Rhino, UVmapped in 3DSmax). The skin is just a placeholder. It's just a map_model right now but at some point if there is any interest I might make it into a player model...

Any feedback/comments would be appreciated.

looks cool... was it your plan to not model the feet? (honest question)

btw, i like the other models on your site... the tie crawler is great. :D

you should map for MP considering this is more a MP board. You have awesome talent and potential

I didn't think he had feet! I've been working from concept art that isn't exactly what is seen in the movies. I've only seen one picture where you can see his legs - they are anchored in the pic - and it's from a museum display. Let me know if you can find a pic of his legs!

As far as mapping for MP, I might try to put one together to go along with my Cadinth project, but my focus is really on creating a coherent single player series, with a compelling story. I have started thinking about how I can re-do my current maps in a MP context though...

He does infact have feet and if you watch ESB you can see him analysing a dead Tauntaun.

1. It's a map model right now.

2. Looks excellent! Is it going to be available for public use?

I dunno...it'd be a very different player model (the first droid as of now), but really...how many people, do you think, would play as, well, a doctor? :21b:

I just got my first GLM model working, so I should have 2-1B in-game as a player model pretty soon. I'll post some beta screenshots here the next couple of days. Man it will be pretty weird to see one of these guys with a lightsaber...

I like it. It reminds me of the medical droid from Jk1.
