the hands do look big in the modview shot too... was the modview fov/camera mode the one that actually has depth to it, toonces? and in that same modview image, the brow of the skin looks a little too smooth/flat still...
that in game shot is precious o i love it.
nice....but the hands are enormous!! you may want to think about reducing those.

The bottom pic with the 2 pics beside it is nearly perfect just the chin needs to be widened and the hair needs to be up more. The other one, the eyes need to be closer together other then that it looks perfect. And the hair may be too long..... I may be wrong sense I haven't seen Episode 1 for a long time but, I remember seeing the hair strand shorter, barely past his shoulder

Hmm...that is long.
But just to be sure, I pulled out my Ep.1 DVD to double check. And in the final fight scene they show Obi-Wan's braid as being long, but not quite as long as is shown in the above picture.
Another thing... the way the braid is modeled, being curved to give the braid the look of movement, maybe the braid should be reduced in length a little bit to make up for its curvature.
Just something to think about.

here it is pretty short, and not as long
So basically, im pretty sure it varies a lost, and the length really isnt that big of a deal. (to me at least, i mean, i could live if it stayed that long)
its going to be different for a few different reasons. Stick a piece of string to the back of your ear and move your neck around, then your shoulders, then twist to the side....depending on your pose it changes alot. Also if its his real hair, in 6 months of shooting its going to grow, and if its a clip on they don't use the same one over and over. The same thing is going to happen in game also.

Looks great Arco! I don't know much about the ghost thing... One thing that I thought would be cool is a blue Aura around the head, like a Halo or something. Thats probably something that would take some effort, but it would be cool. Mars out!

hey arco, NICE, but 1 sugg, ojn the red ctf, could u make his hair a bit more brown, it looks kinda magenta, and an idea for blue: what about a blue version with markings on his face kinda like maul? jsut a thought.

omeo, read the rest of the thread before you post, 3 peopole already stated that, and arco and toonces already responded it.
also, the reason i said it was the angle was because when Toonces had the pic of Qui Gon with his saber, he had big hands, and toonces said that it was the angle, so i just figured because the obi looked like the same angle.

It's actually a combination of both the size of the hands, and the angle. They are a little too big and I'm going to scale them down, but that camera angle makes them look enormous, much larger than they actually are

Toonces,
Tell Mars that the default skin's robe colors should match up with the blue skin's robes color. The default ones are too tan. If he needs to adjust for the bright lighting, I suggest making it grey (like the blue skin).

Toonces, are you going to tweak those robes a little bit? They appear to ride a little low on the shoulders; but of course, it could just be the model's default position. I'm not sure.

I saw it, but it's just Anakin's clothes - still Obi-Wan's face. That skin in particular needs a little more detail, but the rest of them look pretty good.
Same diff mainly a little diffirent face textures would probley do it no?

Ah... no. Anakin's body is very different from Obi-Wan's. It's like all the people that dress up on Halloween. Just because they're wearing a Obi-Wan costume doesn't make them look like Obi-Wan. Pretend Obi-Wan is wearing an Anakin costume... it just wouldn't look quite right.
