Hi,

I'm currently having troubles with the speech in DOTT. In the opening scene (When Purple Tentacle says "I'm Thirsty", the speech is working, but anytime after that, the speech is not working, and I am seeing Text Display.
This is happening on Quick & Easy, and ScummVM. I am running Windows XP.
Does anybody know anyway to get DOTT working with speech?

Thanks,
BigWiver

See here (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79875) first.

Also remember that if you are playing the floppy version, it only has speech for the intro.

Well, lets expand this...
It's the Talkie CD lol...
And yes, I have all the VDM Stuff installed too

Got any ideas?

Who knows, maybe I'll just get Win 98 burnt off a friend again lol.. I heard you could do WinXP and Win98 .. Who knows with this Fat32 and ntfs :S

If it does the same thing on ScummVM then its your game thats at fault. Monster.sou should be 256mb.

No offence, but is this an 100% legal version or is it downloaded?

Well I dunno what I did wrong the first time, but now DoTT is working perfectly.
I simply just reinstalled Q+E

Thanks for all your help anyway, bennyboy.
