One annoying problem in XWA is that the text in the HUD is a little messed up, mostly in the CMD and MFD's, where it's a little off and harder to read.

It's a known problem (at least by me :) ), caused by your vid card. I had this problem when I updated my drivers. If it really bothers you, the easiest way to solve the problem is to reinstall older drivers.
Which card do you have, BTW?

Look around the hardware video options, and you can change the color of the hud.

I have GeForce3 Ti 200, with 30.82 detonators, on Win2k.

It doesn't matter what color the hud is, the TEXT in-flight often looks distorted with text colors being of inconsistent brightness.

When I forced antialiasing with Rivatuner, the text was clearer, but then I saw "color bleeding" artifects.
