The only active Moderator in the JKII.net Modelling forums (KMan@polycount) has engaged in innappropriate actions, including playing favorites with some members regarding what they're allowed to create threads on, and closing any thread that criticizes him or attempts to discuss these problems. If this is allowed to continue, the JKII.net modelling forum will continue to degrade until it falls completely apart.

Thanks,
Brad "BradFu" Fuhriman

We need an admin there that can ban people, not just a moderator that can close topics. We've been having some problems there lately and the only person there with any power is a moderator.

Could someone post some links to some examples I can look at? Thanks. :)

Will do, Mr. Rhett...

Right now, the focus is less on disciplinary action against kman and more on getting more moderators and maybe an administrator focusing on the modeling and even skinning forums for JKII.net.

kman is working alone and appears to be harrassed, overworked, and somewhat disorganized.

The above thread contains most of the evidence and testimonials 'against' kman - it was not closed, however, which was fair enough.

This thread was started by the furious Midgit Yoda when Tru_Weed_Smoka in one of his various incarnations popped up again. It was closed peacefully.

This is the most recent and most notorious posting by the culprit.

This thread evolved from a very negative attack into the below thread.

As you can see, BradFu has really been on top of things from day one without being overbearing or rude.

Everybody wants him to be a moderator there, with perhaps Toonces, cROsIs**, or even me (yeah, right) as a second choice.

We (including KMan) have been discussing things further, and the common consensus is that a lot of the problem is based on KMan being the only Moderator (Roger doesn't count, I've never seen him in the forum at all, I'm concerned that he might have passed away :) ). We have a thread going for Moderator Nominations so people can discuss who they think would make a good moderator in hopes that the LucasForums administrators would agree with us and put a couple more in place :) This could be helpful for the Skinning forum, as well. This will releive some of the stress and monotony from KMan, and also keep the decision-making non-unilateral. I think most over there agree that removing KMan isn't the right step, just need to get him some co-moderators :)
