i was just posting on the forums when my postcount dropped almost a 1000.. i had 5600 or 5700 posts.. now it is 4800
and i checked the member top 10 list.. fergy is on top with me on second... last time i checked Redwing was in the lead with over 7500 posts.....
Lynk former also detected this little thing...

Actually, earlier today (yesterday now actually) I had 8715 posts. It was almost exactly halved ;)
Were some old threads lopped off the last pages of the forums?
Why has this happened? I had just a little over 2800 posts b4 I noticed this happened...

Hmm, This is very strange. And I'm probably to blame for it. I had vBulletin update (recount) all user post counts last night, and that's what it came up with. I'll see if I can fix it, but I'll probably just have to redo all of your post counts manually.
Are you all certain that the old number was correct, and not way more than it used to be for some reason? This could be a result of your accounts being imported and having lots of dupe threads and posts as a result.
UPDATE: Ok, I think I found out what I did wrong.
Anyone who has an account from before LucasForums opened, and remembers about how many posts they SHOULD have, please get in touch with me either in this thread or via PM. I will be more than happy to fix this up.
I don't know how much this will help, but I am very sorry for what has happened. I really didn't think that what I was fixing last night would have such adverse effects. I hope I get to keep my job long enough to fix the problem :(.

Thanks for your quick response! I had the mods add posts from all my LF accounts into this one at the merge, which probably account for most of the loss...

I think I know what happened to my count---all my pre-merge posts could not be counted (I can't edit them, either :() It's been like that ever since Lucasforums opened.
My post count was about: 8700. (actually more but I can't be bothered to count :D)
I lost 1400 posts. It would be great If I could add them back, Met. :)
Most of us are against deleting old threads... but one day we may have to :\ Our database is currently 536 megs unzipped. Linux only allows files to be 2GB in size. I guess we'll have to turn to BSD or something ;)
