no it's just where it bunches up... the belt will bring it in at the top. It's right... don't worry my skin will make it look better.

My mistake primrodo. I thought you were saying the reference pics the tabards fanned out. I agree and made that point earlier... in the model, they definitely fan out (which is incorrect).

Alright, 90% finished with the uv's, I'm not all that great at unwraping, but I think he's coming out well. Have a few adjustments to make

Well, It looks like I'm finished with the uvcoords on Qui-Gon. I'm still not all that proficiant at unwraping yet, but he came out better then Kit did so I think Arco should have an easy time skining him :)

I also rigged him up quick, alough I still have alot of work to do on the weights (especially on the hair)

ok I have been skinning. And the face has run into some problems (already noted by some peeps)

any way in taht pic you can see the model andt hen and edited version oft he pic which shows how it should be. Fatter face... eyes wider apart and widerjaw/beard. If you could change those thinsg toonces it should look much better!

Your right Arco, it's amazing what a good skin can point out.

I'm a little hesitant about making changes, but I'll give it a shot :)

Sorta, Tex gave quamosity the models for me to finish. We were talking about making a few more heads for the model so I beleive I can alter it somewhat. It's still Tex's model though so I dont want to make any large changes without the ok

Alright, I have to take some better renders with much diffrent lighting, but in the interum

I had to tweak the proportions of his head a little bit, as well as adjust the uv's

The lips should be less wide and pinker, the mustache isn't quite thick enough, the nose should be wider, and he should have less forehead. Check the pic.

i think the eyes are a little big. maybe widen the nose a little, looks pretty good but the eyes are a tad big i think. its either that or the expression but something looks off about the eye / eyebrow area

i think the size of the eyes is ok, but they look like they could be lowered down a bit and "pushed" into the head a little more. look at this image you posted ...

... his right eye makes it look like he doesn't have an eye socket or something, that the eye is just "painted" on a flat surface. or maybe it's just something that the view is throwing off. or maybe i don't know what i'm talking about. ;)

it definitely resembles liam ... keep up the great work!

Toonces: The bridge of the nose needs to be wider, and it curves outward a bit. His lips still could be made less wide, and his chin moved up; his hairline in actuality is not as V shaped as the model. Overall his head looks a bit wider than it should be and the curve of his jaw begins higher, parallel to where his mouth is positioned.

Thanks for the great crits guys :D I'm gonna go tweak the head a little more now. I see what you mean about the noze Anakin_S, it looks like it's been broken, I'll tweak that just a tad to make it less symetrical

keo, adillion, your eyes are indespencible as usual :D I'll make the tweaks you suggested and post some more pics. The eyes DO seem a little flat, I'll have to do something about them, should be easy to push them in a tiny bit to create sockets

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out if Quo-Gon's tabbards are split in the back. On some shots they look split, on some they don't.

I'm gonna pop in Episode 1 quick to check, if anyone knows for let me know :D

Never mind, they are split. Got a little altering to do

edit: I havent touched the head yet, but I did some signifigant remodeling on the hips to make them more accurate, and also to help with the deformation which was severely warped

Toonces,

They are definitely split in the back, as are all the Jedi that i've seen that wear that style of outfit. The tabards are in actuality 2 separate pieces of fabric. In Qui-Gon this is most easily seen at the end of Episode 1 as Qui-Gon and Maul fight their way down the series of force fields. The tabards should always be split because they are 2 pieces, this goes for Obi-Wan as well. Anyone who takes a good look at the movies can see this.

Yeah, that's the part I watched. I hadn't seen the movie in a while so I wasnt 100% sure. Obi's are a little more difficult to descern, but your right, his are split too, the color kind of hid it

Whoa! Arco. That is awesome. Only problem I can see is his eyes. They're a little too close to his eyebrows. Not sure if this is a model problem or a skin problem, though.

Hey Toonces, I saw the latest Qui Gon Pic on Polycount. It's looking real good. The hairline could be less v shaped(bring the corners down), but thats not a big deal.

so is this the only version or is their a robed version too. i just think every jedi model should have a robed/unrobed version. this is just my opinion.
