Hee hee! Well, this board won't die quite yet, as long as people still want to play the game http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/smile.gif)

I check in here now and again. I worked on TPM for Big Ape Productions as the 3d Artist/Animator. I had a great time making the game, and still have fun playing it from time to time.

Glad to see people still play the game.

No kidding? Well, I just want to say...GREAT JOB! I love the scenery! Also, the aliens are great. Currently (having discovered an invincibility/unlimited ammo/all weapons trainer) I am exploring Naboo. I love the little animals! http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif)

Most of the fun in making this game, for me anyways, was making it feel as populated and full of 'life' as the Star Wars universe is. In a lot of ways, I think we were able to do it.

I'll be the first to admit that the game has flaws, even a few SERIOUS flaws, but on balance, I think the game turned out pretty well.

i too love this game, i like it how you can choose to say stuff, and you're allowed to kill everything (although i like to be nice most of the time unless i get mad at something, then it's a GREAT stress reliever hehehehe). I also think the bosses were awesome! My favorite level/s have to be Tatooine Arena, and the theed levels as obiwan. I love the code where you can switch to behind the player, that's so awesome!

At long last, we just finished Simpsons Wrestling for Playstation. Fox Interactive is releasing it, and it should hit the shelves on April 1. (No, not an April Fool's joke.)

Currently we are shopping ourselves around to various publishers for possible PS2 and Xbox games. Lucasarts has gone through a period of retrenchment, and has decided to go with larger, multi-project external developers in addition to their in-house teams. So, much as I hate to say, I don't think Big Ape will be working on any LEC titles for some time - we're still a pretty small developer, and in this period of questions about the future of the PC AND Console markets, the big companies aren't fond of taking chances right now.

Believe me, no one would want to do an Ep 2 game more than I would http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/wink.gif)

Just wondering, will you PLEASE support the DC in these harsh times. http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/wink.gif) Because I would like to say a game where you worked on in my DC. A game/level/mod is always more fun when you know a friend has worked on it. http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/smile.gif) BTW Zanzibar, is it me, or is that bit in Gunga City with the pillars much easier when you play Qui-Gon?

I really hate to do this to ya...but...

It looks like the DC is dead. It takes 18-24 months to put together a solid game, and we SERIOUSLY pestered LEC in summer/fall of '99 to do a DC version of TPM, to no avail. Because of that, we are skipping the DC and going straight to the Xbox and PS2.

Don't get me wrong, I think the DC kicks a$$, even far and above the PS2 in terms of the games. I have a DC and don't think I'll ever get rid of it. But Simpsons Wrestling is PS1 (for whatever reason - don't ask me, ask Fox Interactive), so we therefore missed out on our chance to do a DC game.

Hey TPM kicks @$$ btw, the only prob I have is how stupid Queen Amidala is when you're supposed to protect her, but well it's still kewl.

I love just going around and killing everyone, it's pretty funny, especially in Mos Espa, when ur Qui-Gon and the kids yell at you... hehehe

the best thing about tpm is being rude to people!!! tell them you WANT to start a war, act tough in front of jabba, leave your lightsaber on the whole time, force push the guy that says 'stop pushing me!' hehe there's so many ways to be rude and have fun in this game!!!

Yeah, it's a LOT of fun being rude! And so easy! Something I especially like to do is in the bar after fighting Jabba's monster & talking to Watto, go over to the guards and force push them. One runs into a door that shuts behind you in Watto's place. I then turned on perf and watched him try to run through the door. Heh heh heh (gloating)

Everyone knows about the Jawa Shooting Gallery on Mos Espa, right?

On your way to the Slave Quarters (near the Sauna room that you eventually find Jar-Jar in), you'll see a Ronto. When you reach the Ronto, turn right, and you'll see some jawas near a closed door. (SAVE HERE.) Open the door, and you'll see a Tripod Gun. Get behind it, and let the fun begin http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/wink.gif)

When you kill all the Jawas, two guns emerge from the ground. One of the gun is throwing a grenade. I wasn't able to kill everyone though.

Absolutely! You know the light repeating blaster? The cheat code "happy" turns it into the flamethrower!

Oh, and also, did you know that you can force push the turret all around town, even up stairs? (Too bad it will only face in one direction, though...)

You can force push the turrets? Cool! I didn't know that. Hey Zanzibar, is there a lot of secret places in TPM? I mean like secret panels and stuff like that? I discovered a couple of them but sometimes I wonder if there is more.

Yeah, there's quite a few hidden places, but none that are INCREDIBLY cool. No 5-minute excursions, if you know what I mean. Just a few places to find a bonus powerup, and perhaps a few extra people to talk to.

And, Good Lord, I did not realize you could force push the tripod gun. That is hilarious.

I hate to say it, but I don't own PSO, and probably won't - during the brief online time I have, I play Everquest. Mind-bogglingly addictive and fun. And yes, I'll probably wind up checking out Star Wars Galaxies too when it comes out http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/smile.gif)
