How many of you here have played the game Rogue Squadron? I know Garindan does. I do too. http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif)

Ya, I have it for n64. One question though, why post this in TPM forum? http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif)

I calculated the odds that this would work versus the odds that I was doing something incredibly stupid...and I went ahead anyway.

I'm so good at rogue squadron now, i've played both n64 and pc (have them both), and people who say n64 version is better must not have played the REAL rogue squadron on pc. I tried playing it on my n64 today, it was too choppy, the framerate dropped fast while i was in cockpit mode, i can't see anything, too much fog, and it was annoying kindof (although i did get 4 consecutive medals on a new game before i couldn't take it any longer), to think of this game without the expansion pack makes me cringe. The pc version is a whole lot better.

Your right, but it's too short. The day I bought it, I had already passed through 8 levels.

http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/confused.gif) Are we talking about the same game here? RS is NOT short and getting golds on each level is NOT easy!

it's easy for me! and i like it that way, seeing some newbie morons coming in at roguesquadron.net (trainee for example) is kinda funny, since they don't know how to beat a certain level that only takes me one try.

I played it on the PC, and it does look pretty nice. My main problem was the enemy AIs; there was almost nothing there except for the bad guys flying around on invisible rails.

But, all in all, I had a good time playing it.

Actually, on the 16th level the AI performance skyrocketed with the TIE drones on Mon Calamari. Most (all but the first three) of them had the ability to completely leave their "invisible rails" behind. http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif)

Oh and Garindan, all the levels are easy for me too. But getting gold is still a challenge. (Or it was the last time I tried...like over a month ago http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/wink.gif) ) Completing the levels is a piece of cake. It's getting golds on places like Feat and Sullust that's hard.

getting golds is easy! fest was almost TOO easy for me. i had alot of time to kill at the end too, i think i wiped out all the enemies on it. I'm having a hard time beating Moff Seerdon with a gold medal, ti use the v-wing, i can get everything except 1 friendly save, i used the a-wing, and i got killed by moff seerdon (seeker missile got a bit too close), but i had all the friendly save plus 1.

using the a-wing in on fest is awesome, i got a missile lock onto me, so i decided to find a new way to break the lock, so i flew under an at-ats belly, and the missile hit the at-at instead of me! The only catch (minor one) about this program is that you cannot beat the levels, the good thing about that is that you can destroy friendlies without taking blame!

The best ship for the Imperial Construction Yards is the Y-wing. I just bombed everything. Took me all of three minutes. http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/smile.gif)
