Indeed it may seem odd to part with something you put such effort, work and dedication into. But perhaps that person enjoys the "creating" more than the actual wearing of the costume. Maybe she needs the fund sfor a new project?
There's just some people who enjoy making, creating such things and once finished part with them to start a new project and not be stuck with all the doen or old items.

(I myself wouldn't part with any of my Aayla Secura items. Never! ;) )

Well, i've been trying to print out some of my fan arts and they look absolutly horrible. The colors are tottaly different on paper than they are on screen. Aayla's skin becomes a dark blue, and all the shading and highlights get washed out. I've got a fairly new HP deskjet 1120C printer, but it just looks like junk. Scratch that idea I guess.

I saw the new 14X11, and it appears to be a different run of them than the orriginal offer. The one I have is numbered 58/500 in the bottom right corner. But she didn't sign the name "Aayla Secura" on mine either. But hey, if I collected every possible varriation of every image...

The only Aayla item I'd part with is my lightsaber, and then only if Amy will pose for a picture with it, and then give it right back! :)

Well, its about time I start packing up everything I'm taking with me for autographs. I've got a nice steel 'doctors' clipboard I can put all my comics inside so as to make it impossible to bend them up while carrying them around the show.

Check out this extremely cool fanart posted at the TheForce.net. I just love the pose and look on her face. It definately has a Tartakovsky look to it, and could quite easily belong in the Clone Wars cartoons. Unfortunately, I don't think Aayla will be appearing in the cartoons. She isn't listed on the official site, and I havn't seen any art for her. =(

Also, there is a great Aayla skin for Jedi Academy. It is for both SP and MP. I've tried and tested it and I think it's pretty accurate apart from the blue lips.

Random, sorry to hear your fan artworks aren't printing out very well. (Perhaps you should use another software to print them out? The paper can be important too, I tend to use 160g paper since it absorbs the ink better.)

leXX, great catch on that JA Aayla skin, wow it looks terrific! :) I think I'll just have to install it and play some MP or SP with that cool Aayla skin. :D

Been rather busy though, working on something all Aayla fans will hopefully enjoy and like when completed... ;)

You can now create and purchase your own official "Custom Star Wars Collectible" (http://custom.starwars.com/photoalbumgeneric.asp?View=LaunchPage) at starwars.com.
Choosing from several categories such as jedi, bounty hunters, Clone Wars cartoon, ... You can select an image and have it placed on such items as high quality prints, mugs, mousepads, coasters, ... which are then shipped out to you.

Most interesting off course is in the "Jedi" category you can select Aayla Secura. :)
This great promo image can then be placed on a mug, mouse pad, coaster or you can even order large, high quality prints:

Rebelscum.com (http://www.rebelscum.com/) reports that several of the 2003 Hasbro 3 3/4" Jedi Knight character figures from "Epsiode II - Attack Of The Clones" are undergoing a packaging upgrade in 2004, one of these is figures is the Aayla Secura figure. The card graphics and names have been altered, the figure itself however remains the same.

The repackaged figures may appear in stores as soon as in several weeks but most likely they won't be out in full force until early next year. You can read the entire rebelscum.com article on the repackaged figures here (http://www.rebelscum.com/article.asp?i=45416).

This coming weekend, on Saturday November 29 and Sunday November 30, the 24th edition of the Mid-Ohio-Con (http://www.midohiocon.com), a Comic Book and Pop Culture event, is being held in Columbus, Ohio (USA).

Amy Allen (who portrayed Aayla Secura in Episode II) will be signing autographs all weekend long at the convention (courtesy of OSWCC). Star Wars comics artist Jan Duursema, who co-created Aayla Secura, will also be present during the entire convention weekend at the WFC booth.

This edition of the Mid-Ohio Con is a unique chance to meet the two ladies who brought Aayla Secura to life -in the comics and on the movie screen- and even take home an autograph to commemorate the occasion! :)

Unfortunately no official word, no... :( However judging from reactions and rumors I suspect Aayla will not be in Episode III.
(Though I'd love for Aayla to return in Epsiode III -played by Amy Allen off course- I'd rather not have her character appear and die onscreen.)

There are good indications though that Aayla may appear in season 2 of the Clone Wars Cartoon.

Well...I think I got caught! Aayla Secura is wonderful!!!
- In JO MP I often chose Aayla as playermodel...
- I played my first time in sp in Jedi Academy with the blue twilek.....
2 questions I have....

1) where oh my god can I find comic images of star wars characters (especially Aayla Secura...I already browsed the inofficial fansite...but I need mooooorrrreeee. I also used the search option but it was not satisfying.)?
2) @ leXX: Where do you get the awsome pictures you use for your avatars?...I'm browsing the net up and down....but it seems I'm too dumb or too impatient to get proper images.

1. The best way is to buy the comics and scan them yourself, or you check out www.darkhorse.com) for the cover images. I agree, the web is lacking comic images of Aayla. I have a pretty big collection of Aayla images I can send you if you like. Just PM me with your email address. =)

2. See above. ^^ The avatar I'm using now is from the cover of Rite of Passage.

Awesome news that Aayla secura will be in Episode III isn't it? :D
Sorry that I forgot to post it here when I uploaded the news flash to www.jediaayla.com) (http://www.jediaayla.com), I haven't been able to make much time for the boards lately ... :( (And besides I like it when people visit the fansite to catch that sort of news, lol.)

Hannibal, Amy Allen now works for Warner Brothers.

leXX, pretty cool that they're making an Aayla secura Unleashed, isn't it? :) The final version may be different from that prototype though ... but that prototype sure looks awesome as it is!

Wanderer, wish I could help and send you the scans I have of Aayla in the comics ... but that totals over 400 Megabytes so that'll be next to impossible. :p

If I may ask and please feel free to answer honestly, do you guys think the Aayla Secura fansite (www.jediaayla.com) (http://www.jediaayla.com)) does not have enough images of Aayla from the comics?

If that's a common opinion, I can try and add more images to the Aayla Secura Fansite, although I must seek a balance with loading time (lots of images take a longer time to load for visitors) and also be carefull not to put too much online to not get into any trouble with Lucasfilm and Dark Horse.

In that final chapter of the "Clone Wars" cartoon series, the Jedi are said to face General Grievous, the commander of the droid army, in the "Battle of Hypori" (http://www.starwars.com/clonewars/explore/timeline/60.html).

Hey Agent Smith:)
Yeah I think 400MB would be too booombastic.
leXX gave me an upload about 17MB (thx again leXX I got them:D ) because my lycos account can only store 5MBs...lol.

Well yeah...since you asked, I think you should add lots more Aayla pictures (I'm a visual type...I like images)...If they have to much KBs...shrink them a bit in KB size but not so much that they loose their quality....just a suggestion.

Hey, maybe this is a dumb question....but is jediaayla.com your site? Well if it is...congratulations! I like the looks of it:cool:

hehe....I'll be very soon the proud owner of 2 star wars comics...
Special books ( In german they call it: Sonderbдnde, don't know how to say in english to that) no 13 (where leXX got her recent avatar from) and 14.
Well I'm looking foward to them :D

edit: Ha Haaaaaaaaaa! Today I got the comic books...No 13 'Das Jedi Ritual' and 14...very good...very special :D Wow that was a fast delivery

Starwars.com has shown us a first glimpse of Aayla Secura as she will appear in Cartoon Network's "Clone Wars" micro series:
http://users.pandora.be/TheDeathscythe/Aayla/Images/ja_news_lrg_24.gif)

Starwars.com has also added new "Clone Wars" avatars (http://www.starwars.com/hyperspace/about/news/news20040326.html) for their StarWars.com Hyperspace message boards, including an avatar of Aayla Secura.

leXX, I just spotted the above images, that's it for now I guess. But chapter 20 should already air in a few weeks or less! :)

Wanderer, thanks for the positive comments. The Unofficial Aayla Secura Fansite www.jediaayla.com) is indeed created by me. But I didn't really do all that much, I just read up on html, wrote some synopsises and put it together, all the great photos and fantastic art of Aayla are what make the site great, and Aayla as a grand character off course 'makes' the site.
It's really cool though, I enjoyed creating it and I hope Aayla fans like it and can use it as a reference. :)

I was able to purchase "Star Wars Insider" issue #75 and it was more than worth it. The guest editorial by Amy Allen (Aayla Secura) was very cool, as well as the feature on her role as Aayla Secura in the "Appearing Knightley" article.
Very interesting fact that in the "Appearing Knightley" feature Amy is credited for portraying Aayla Secura not only in Episode II, but also in Episode III! I guess that together with her being on the cast list of Episode III it's becoming more and more certain that Aayla Secura will be in Episode III, portrayed by Amy Allen! :D

They also gave names to the cameo characters Amy Allen portrayed in the "Outlander" club scene in "Episode II: Attack Of The Clones" (from the article "Who’s who in the Outlander Club - It’s Ladies Night"). Fun fact that the character names Lela Mayn, Mya & Yma Nalle are all anagrams of Amy Allen.

You can read more at the Aayla Secura Fansite (http://www.jediaayla.com).

leXX, I don't think the "Clone Wars" Aayla looks ugly, it's stylized to the point of a near caricature, sure, but that's just the style of the cartoon. After all, "Clone Wars" Mace Windu looks exaggerated as well, Anakin doesn't look that much like Anakin in the cartoon ...
