I just found out about Racer 2: Revenge
This is a new game, not another port, can you believe it!!!

Wait a sec, this game can't take place... it features Anakin as a teenager, he's way to busy learning the ways of the Force to go back to podracing. And Sebulba was the one that bought Anakin's pod, so how come he has his original one? And how the heck did Anakin find his old podracer again? This game is all wrong, it can't posibly take place anywhere along the SW timeline.

Maybe, but neither could teh first one have. Anikan sold his pod after his first race with it, so how could he have raced it is racer I? Plus, his mom told his not to come back to tatooine and nothing ever says he does. Also, he would have been busy during the first one with his Jedi trainings also. The point is that it ios just a video game, they never totally parallel the movie.

it'll probably be a million seller and never drop below $45. so to all people who hate paying to much for games:
buy it 3 months after it comes out.
I kinda enjoyed Racer myself even though the plot had the depth of pothole.

Sure it can happen...
Seeing as how it's release date runs along side the next film, that means game is probably an episode II game, so it could have more to do with the story than we may think.

The things I don't want to see in Episode II are as follows...
1. Another Pod Race
2. Jar Jar Binks
3. Tatooine - for a back-water planet, it has suddenly become the centre of the universe.
4. Jar Jar Binks
5. Another 3-way battle that includes a lightsaber duel with a space battle with a ground battle. It was done in ROTJ, it was reprised in TPM. To do it again would be completely ridiculous, IMO.
I expect to be completely disappointed on ALL counts, because I feel Lucas has lost his grit. The best film he made was The Empire Strikes Back, and he should be trying to emulate that film, not the weakest in the classic trilogy.
That movie was the worst of teh three. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but i lacked a good, climatic ending that every movie requires. In other words, it left ya hanging. I woulda hated to have to wait a couple years in order to see ROTJ.

Empire is the best Star Wars movie so far.
It would be awesome if Episodea 2 and 3 are even better than Empire.

Premise one: Console games have high profits
Premise two: Console games are bought with disposable income

http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/tongue.gif) i lived for a few years with one of those and only being able to play crappy pc games on it, i thought the n64 was cool, then i got my very own cpu, much better than a 486, and alot of the pc ports from consoles run alot cooler on the pc. such as turok 1 and 2 (only played the demos though), racer, and rogue squadron 3d.
Console games don't equal crap, JUST THE CONSOLES THEMSELVES!!!!! if a console wasn't limited to so much stuff that it can run, then it would beat a computer.
