Did anyone else go see this movie tonight? It's pretty cool. It's got lots of action and cool creatures. The one thing I would change though is at the ending they kind of messed up the scorpion kings face.

I calculated the odds that this would work versus the odds that I was doing something incredibly stupid...and I went ahead anyway.

Ike's back? Where? http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/wink.gif)

(inside joke, I'll explain later)

The rock was part of the landscape. If you mean the Rock as in the smelly wrestler guy, then I think he was the Scorpion King.

What's ironic is that, in actual Egyptian mythology, the Scorpion was considered a feminine image (because of Sekhmet [IIRC], the scorpion-crowned war goddess).

Haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm adding it to my "go see" list, right after Crocodile Dundee in LA and Josie & The Pussycats. http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif)

Great movie...really fast paced and hardly any dull moments, also it had a comedy side that made the movie better, rather than screw it up.
And come on guys...chics fight with swords in the movie..thats perfect reason to go see it...NO DISRESPECT TO THE LADIES OF THIS FORUM...if there is any.

Want to know what I found sad about this movie, The Rock was the best actor in it.

The movie was almost as bad as the first one. Brendan Frasier(SP?) couldn't act if his life depended on it. SOME of the special effects were decent, but OTHERS were quite humorous. Is it just me or was the ballon-mobile a little too unrealistic? If it were to travel at such a speed, wouldn't the baloon tend to act as a sort of parachute, pulling against the momentum of the engine?

*wrenches thread back on-topic*

I went to see it yesterday.

Good flic, not quite as good as the first one, but still cool.

The special effects for the Scorpion King (at the end) would've been more convincing with a little work (or maybe by incorporating Rocky's actual face over the CGI model).

What really thrilled me was the Anubis soldiers.

It looks like FX technology is finally ready for a live-action/CGI Gargoyles movie! http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/biggrin.gif)

That would absolutely rock ( http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/wink.gif) ) but I doubt the geniuses at Disney would consider doing something RIGHT for a change http://www.jediknight.net/mboard/mad.gif)...
