JK keeps crashing after starting the game with the message:

AppName: jk2sp.exe, AppVer: 0.0.0.0, ModName: nvoglnt.dll
ModVer: X.XX.XX.XXXX, Offset: 00167d2c

Where X.XX.XX.XXXX is the version number of the drivers I tried, which are:

- Creative v27.50
- NVidia v21.83
- NVidia v23.11 (these are recommended by LucasArts (http://support.lucasarts.com/trg/tgd.asp?id=2325&g=120&s=12) for this card)
- NVidia v27.52
- NVidia v28.32

After crashing to the desktop, I have to manually reset the brightness.

System specs:
- AMD Athlon 1300
- 256MB RAM
- Creative 3D Blaster Annihilator Pro (NVIDIA GeForce 256 chipset)
- Windows XP Pro
- Lots of disk space

Is there a solution for these problems or will there be a patch soon?

Yeah i have the exact same problem.
i get to play the game for about 5-10 minutes then it will just crash. It then goes back to the desktop with the error msg saying there was an error in the exe.

And then i have to turn down the brightness as its blindingly bright.

getting really annoying now

any ideas?

Do you get the same error I get (sort of)?

I don't have a solution, but Lucasarts/Raven should release a patch real soon! I think the problems that can be read in this forum are just the tip of the iceberg!

Have you tried GL Extensions to NO? It helped me wonders and stopped the random 5 minute crashes. I can play for hours now with no crashes.

I had to install the Creative Labs drivers so I could access the menu, but it worked after I disabled the GL Extensions. Thanks a lot!
