I can't get past the room where there is the green diamond in the corner and the poisonous cloud of gas. Do I just need to run through there or is there something to shut that off?

You have to quickly grab the key from the dead person closest to the door, then get the hell out... on the far side (after you leave that room), there's another room enclosed in glass... use the key to open room up... it controls a small droid...
How do I get that droid into the room with the diamond? The little door won't open for him.
Should be a little button that the droid can use to open the 'little door'.
