The Strategy is solid for reaching tech 2 quickly. But remember... if Fruit bushes aren't nearby, it is just as productive to build a Food proc center near some wild animals or boar animals. Put atleast 5 workers on a boar and 2-3 workers on a Deer type animal. The workers can carry more food from animals then from a fruit bush.
This really is a matter of location and resorces.
Reaching tech 2 around 11 minute mark is doing real well. Try to have 18-25 workers before you advance to Tech 2. They will help you recover the resources spent on the research.
I like to start building 2 troop centers as I am researching Tech 2. This way when I hit the next tech I can research the Trooper upgrade and still build 5-10 troopers at the same time. These troopers are needed to defend the early rush or for you to rush someone else. If you are the one rushing, focus on the carbon workers. It will slow down that player enough to get a head of there progress.
