The pink and purple and dark purple colors in the backround. They are kinda annoying and they don't make me feel at home, sorry. I'm not kidding! They make me eyes hurt. Well me eyes always hurt after looking at the comp screen and the colors don't help. To bright for me.:(
then you've got your gamma up too high, for me the background purple is dark and the foreground purple is a subtle light shade of purple. i.e. not a pain on the ol' retinas
It doesn't hurt my eyes.
But I agree, that it's not really comfortable to look at.
And don't worry, I set my gamma just right :)
