I rememberd playing a lot of the original X wing and so I went out and purchased Xwing vs Tie Fighter and attempted to play it on my windows 2000 system.

The install itself went fine, but it will not let me play because it thinks I need to install DirextX. Just to be safe I just installed DX8 from microsoft's site..

Anyone know how to play XvT on Win2k?

I tried something about making a shortcut and adding ishost to the parameter, but that ended up crashing because it said it didn't detect my joystick.

Thanks for your help,
-Dan

nevermind, adding ishost as a parameter appears to have worked.
for some reason it worked the second time, but not the first.
