We heard today from our LucasArts contact that Star Wars: Galactic
Battlegrounds has gone gold. This is very good news for both real-time
strategy and Star Wars fans. Galactic Battlegrounds combines a game engine
adapted from the definitive Age of Empires series with the immersive Star
Wars galaxy. Play as the Empire, the Alliance, Wookies or even those freaky
Gungans. Embark on huge campaigns filled with challenging skirmishes,
mission objectives and over 300 different units that include Jedi Knights,
AT-ATs and snowspeeders.
With the gone gold announcement out of the way, we can look forward to
Galactic Battlegrounds hitting its mid-November ship date. Just follow this

'Gone gold' basically means that everything is set is stone now and there is a master disc which has gone to manufacturing.
There will be NO changes to the game now; debugging is basically finished as well. (of course, the team will continue to look for bugs and release a patch if the need is there).
So mid-november is solid now !

Good, in case anyone is wondering, they are probably now making enough copies so it is not sold out for a while. It comes out Nov. 13

people who order from lucasarts with overnight shipping get it a day before its in stores, everything I've pre ordered with them have gotten to me a day before stores
I can't wait for it to be shipped, and I read somewhere that it would come out on November 12 or possibly even a week earlier.
the "contact" from lucas arts? yeh well would'nt it be on main page first?
most likely Lucasarts Public Relations is writing up a Press Release to annouce it publically, i think Lucasarts is based in California so they still could put out the release today.

There should probaly be an official Statement anytime now, it would probaly be at Lucasarts.com first like when Rouge Leader went gold. It'd be awesome if they annouced it'd be out next week!
