Hi all,

I've haven't played Kotor in years and have decided now that school's out to sit down and play it again. After some frustration, I've finally got it working on my computer but before I start I wanted to see what I could do to make the game fresher.

I've been looking around for mods, but I haven't really found anywhere that lays out the "best" mods. Mainly I want an overall texture enhancement just to improve the look. I've also seen a new questline called "Brotherhood of Shadows" (I think) that I'll probably download.

But yeah, I was just hoping to get some advice on what the best mods are out there for improving the graphics and adding to game play.

Also, I've only recently gotten into modding (mainly Skyrim and Sims 3), and those are pretty straightforward to install, but it would be appreciated if someone could briefly explain how to install the mods into Kotor.

Thanks so much.

Like all aesthetic changes, it is all up to your tastes. For improving graphics, you have a few options.

There are various module reskins here:http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/files/Knights_of_the_Old_Republic/Skins/Modules;9660)

At moddb, these are available: http://www.moddb.com/games/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic/addons)

Also, there is the KoTOR Ultimate Mod: http://www.moddb.com/mods/kotor-ultimate)

Consult the readmes that come with each mod for installation instructions. Most of the time, the extracted files go into the Override folder.

Brotherhood of Shadow (and its patch) is definitely worth a try.

Even though it is very much based on opinion these are some of the mods that either spice the game up, or make it look better (there's screenshots and reviews so you can judge for your self), sorry if these aren't the kinda deal that you're looking for but I thought I'd make you aware of these in case you haven't seen them.
