quick question. Are there still servers out there that are hosting the old swg mmo? I just picked up the old game discs from my local thrift store, and wanted to try the game.

also, is it now free? or do we have to pay a subscription for these servers?

Star Wars Galaxies ended last December due to the arrival of The Old Republic. But this topic should be placed here (http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=281), though.

It seems I managed to answer my own question.

this game is still around, just not run by its creators. there are a few servers which are offering to play the game for free. you do need original game discs (epire divided I think). Since groups are offering this game free of charge, and are getting no money from it in any way, its completely legal.
