Because LucasArts likes to start ambitious sequels to popular games, leave us with a cliffhanger, and then completely lose interest in continuing the project, leaving all loose ends unsolved. See Knights of the Old Republic.

But screw the Endor stuff; I'm mainly interested in how the canonical story line will resolve itself. We've got an ultra-powerful pseudo Jedi (Starkiller) hanging around with the Rebel Alliance, who is bound to upstage Luke once the time rolls around, and Darth Vader is in Rebel custody. Obviously these things need to be resolved sooner rather than later.

Leia was talking about the Force Unleashed 1 DLC on Hoth, where you fight Luke, but you don't actually kill him, you take him on as your apprentice.

Exactly, they have to bridge Force Unleashed 2 into Episode IV.

No, she was not. The two story lines are incompatible: where one occurs, the other does not. Leia could not possibly have been referring to the DLC that continues from the dark side ending to the first game because the entirety of TFU2 continues from the light side ending to the first game (but branching off from the dark side ending to the second game).

Leia means that Luke was killed on Hoth in this second apocryphal story line.

I was always under the impression that the two dark side endings were part of one story, that Starkiller was both Lord Starkiller and the Dark Apprentice, that they were the same person, as in Galen Marek went to kill:

-Jabba the Hutt's Rancor
-Boba Fett
-Obi-Wan Kenobi (as Old Ben Kenobi and Spirit)
-Luke Skywalker
-Chewbacca
-Han Solo
-Leia Organa

Thereby ridding the universe of any possible rebels, allowing the Galactic Empire to reign supreme.

But what you are saying does make sense.

Then again, maybe Lucasarts just made a mistake, and they referenced the past DLC lol. :D

Yeah, not sure how you arrived at that conclusion seeing that Darth Starkiller was the original Galen Marek having replaced Vader, and the Dark Apprentice was a perfected clone. The endings are in no way related.

[Edit] In fact, here's a diagram for you:

The question mark is presumably TFU3, assuming LucasArts decides to make it. They tend to have a habit of leaving things hanging though, and so far that's how this franchise is looking, unfortunately. We've been told about no plans for a third installment so far.

Ahh okay, thanks for the diagram, makes more sense. :D

Also, do you happen to know where the Jedi Temple DLC from the first game fits in?

I believe it's after Imperial Kashyyyk. After talking to his father's ghost, he decides to learn more about him.

Since I don't have FU2, is that DLC playable on the pc version?
