While I was lurking around the NWN forums, I found that they have a tool similar to NWmax for blender. Clicky! (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2Tools.Detail&id=61) I didn't try it out since I don't have blender installed at the moment, but it's certainly a much better alternative to gmax, if it works.

and 3Ds is waaaay better than gmax.

Just running it in blender and it only imports and exports as .mdb. As far as I'm aware kotor uses .mdl Im no good at modeling though. Im alright at programming so I might have to look into modifying it to work with .mdl :D
