Replaces the Vibrocutter with this:
http://kotormods.oldhickorystix.com/vibrocutter062.jpg)
http://kotormods.oldhickorystix.com/vibrocutter062a.jpg)

If you have Ulic's Prolog, Peragus, and Harbinger Issue Correction Mod, you'll get this during the game. Otherwise, use KSE. The actual uti is vibrocutter, not vibrocutter062.

Download:
http://kotormods.oldhickorystix.com/vibrocutter.zip)

Installation:
Place the contents of the zip file in your C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\Override directory.

Here's an additional model, but you'll have to use KSE to get it:

Download:

The 3rd and final version:

Thanks!!!

I tried shrinking it, but encountered blips from NWMAX (even when using the resetXform). Perhaps when I get some more practice, I can scale it down successfully. I'll try again before I put this one on FileFront.

Make sure when you reset transforms that you completely unlink the model.

Does it actually rotate?

Sadly, that's beyond my skill level. I'll ask around and see if I can find out how to do it.

I'd use this the next time I make a gigantic pizza . Is that a hubcap on the axle of #2? It sure would be cool if you could get it to animate.

I love the idea but the size of it hurts my brain.
The industrial element you introduced is absolutely perfect mate, top job on that. Just I'm thinking something the size of a dvd for the disc and a long handle. What we've got here is something the size of a battleaxe and you'd expect it to have damage stats in the region of 2-20 with a -5 to hit for unweildiness. Is it a storm giant's pizza cutter?

I'd say downsize the whole thing by 50% and then downsize the disc part alone by another 50% again, so it spanned two PC hand-widths at most across the disc and had a wieldy looking handle.
After all this is high tech and it's a fine cutting tool for doing small work around a lump of ore after blasting with charges, the uberfuture version of a cold chisel/hammer miners use. It's not made for cutting repulsortanks in half from a galloping bantha.

I like the industrial thinking though, good job.

Who are you going to shred into pieces with this… uh… weapon? :p

Vanir's right about the size, it's actually a giant buzz saw. :D

It's on my list of mods to fix, I've just been preoccupied by a couple of other projects lately.

I'm actually thinking along the lines of something that looks like a backhoe arm (smaller, of course) with a hydraulic hammer that is designed for mining. I may swipe the arm off a big mining droid and incorporate that.

~a short time later~

Something like this:

It is made of parts from three different droids. If I decide to release this version, I need to add a dialog or two where NPCs say:

"Hey, you're that (guy/gal) who goes around ripping the limbs off of droids, aren't you? Hey, look, I don't want any trouble. Really. I'll just be going now".

Sounds like something that could be included in M4-78. LOL

I've been testing it out and I really, really like it. It's a monster futuristic jackhammer! Maybe I'll add an M4-78 reference in the backstory.

I still can't make a "double-vibrocutter" that I like, so this one will be the last iteration. It's going to stay big because it cuts rock and needs to be big. I'll add it to the OP this weekend sometime.

Edit: Added to OP.

New Item Description:

This vibrocutter is used for carving asteroid rock, and it can double as a melee weapon if the user has enough strength.

This thing is *huge*, but it can also inflict some significant sonic damage.

It was designed by an inventor who happened across some salvaged parts that were, allegedly, from a "droid-planet". Supposedly these parts were salvaged from a crashed ship that was shot down while attempting to "liberate" a droid manufacturing facility.

Upon hearing the legend surrounding the origin of these salvaged parts, the inventor set off to search out the mystery planet and was never seen again. His design was left behind and is now the property of the Curamelle Mining Equipment Co.
