I was wondering if some of you knows the name of that big flying creature above Dantooine.

Wow. Learned something new about KotOR. I never considered what the flying manta ray in KotOR was called in the SW universe.

^ I always wondered that myself. I settled for "Iriaz" after never actually seeing one on the game. Then KSE allowed me to morph my character into a true Iriaz and I just forgot about this matter.

Allright, how did I take that picture? It's simple.
-spawn an enemy of these(friend is wrong because they will fly and turn around every second)
-kill it(the creature will fly even after you kill it,because it doesn't have any dying animations:))
-stand in front of it in free view and take the picture

If you would like to know how to spawn those, you can do it with scripts or with my mod:)
