Had a bit of fun tonight in PS: just some playing about with layers and stuff. It's pretty standard.

Not bad, but you do need to blend the edges of your layers, I think you forgot about it in this one.
BTW, 56k warning!

Ooh, you need a planet tutorial :p
I got a few good sites, with nice tutorials about space scenes.

This site has a nice list with various tutorials:

Creating an awesome space scene:

Click on the image, to get a big and close view. Bit odd, but's a good tutorial.

Wow, I had never though to use noise as a starfield.
Here's one of my latest. Made it as a laptop wallpaper for my dad:

Thanks Q. The tutorial links you posted really helped with this one:

Its lower res than it should be. The original .bmp is much better looking.
I'm currently using this as my desktop background. :D

Thanks Q. I just nearly forgot this thread. I've worked on quite a few planets and space scenes since my last post. Until I'm able to organize them all, say ohai to Serenity:

Edit-- I forgot, I already have them organized. :p Follow this link:

Hey, thanks, just to reward you a another something I'm working on. Doing and testing out wild stuff in PS. I never really found a fun way to "paint" in PS. Now, I see to have found a nice brush I really like. The thing almost reacts like I would paint with aquarel paints.

Pretty funky.

Nice work here. You shure got some skill.

Did you know that you can download extra brushes for PS for free? Go to brusheezy.com or just search brushes for photoshop. Maybe that makes "painting" in PS easier for you...

I do remember having a few sketches at my house. Maybe I should look for them after coming back from Myrtle Beach.
