If yo've recently installed X Wing Collector's Series and cannot get Tie Fighter to work in Windows XP or Windows 2000 and your getting a message saying somethin like your computer does not have Direct 3D. Or you are told to install Direct X 5.2 and you already have Direct X 5.2 or better there is a patch to correct this issue:
