I can edit the dialog in the KT Editor, but when I extract the dialog, I can't change anything. Sometimes it works, but 95% of the time it doesn't. Any ideas?

Do you have the dialouge editor downloaded?

You need to open the dialogue file in the KOTOR Tool and go under "File" and hit "Save" so you can edit it with TK102's Dialogue Editor. If you just click on the dialogue file and hit "Extract" with the KOTOR Tool, you won't be able to edit the text.
