According to multiple sources, Force Unleashed has been pushed back to a Summer 2008 release date. Here's the forceunleashed.net news post: http://www.forceunleashed.net/news/force-unleashed-slips-again/)

But basically Amazon has changed their release date to August 26 for the Xbox, PS3, and Wii versions of the games, and also Nintendo has released a list of games to be released in 2008 and both the Wii and DS versions of the game show a summer release date. LucasArts has not confirmed this yet but I feel it is only a matter of time, it can't be a mistake that both of these sources report a summer release date. Also via an email it has been reported that Game Informer magazine also printed the delayed release date.

Damn. I was hoping it would've been out this spring since I haven't played a good Star Wars game that I haven't played before and especially on the xbox 360. I want LS: the Complete Saga, but I was planning to get that when TFU came out.

Ah well, hope it is for the better.

Again? Just saw it was meant for this Spring...

Just as Commander up there, I hope they use their extra time well.

Perhaps... But considering that TFU was "their Star Wars project for 2007", delaying it successively may not be a very good idea.

Yeah, in theory it was supposed to be TFU 2007, Clone Wars 2008, Live Action 2009. Obviously that didn't work out.

Heh. What about their goal to have one or two new Star Wars Projects a year?

The LucasArts Force Unleashed page has confirmed the pushed back date. When you watch the trailer under the video it says "coming summer 2008".

At least we know it will be finished when they release it... It had better be good to take this ****ing long to come out!

Meh, I don't really mind, with the awesome games that are coming out this year (Ninja Giden 2 and Devila May Cry 4) I wouldn't had time to play it if it came out early, this delay is welcomed in my case

They are probably still trying to figure out how to downgrade the graphics enough so that it will run on the Wii.

And you named two games that will surely be VERY difficult to beat (at least the previous games were).

I can wait to get all the achievements on both games

At least they're taking the time to get the game right and won't just release a buggy game to get it out on time.

Yes, especially considering how little they're actually showing of this game. I was genuinely amazed that they released a trailer at all.

Is there proof that this is 100% official? I can't seem to be sure.

I suppose that would make perfect sense, considering the lack of information, trailers, screenshots and what-not from the official site. Anyway, though it may be for the best, I must say that makes me terribly sad. August is generally the back-into-school-routine month. That's to bad, I was looking forward to having a blast over summer break.

Dude it's from the forceunleashed.net (www.forceunleashed.net). But I can see where you are coming from. :)

Well, since they are going to delay it again, this game shoud be good.

Haha. :D I simply read it and didn't pay much attention to the site it was coming from. >_< My bad. The reason it didn't strike me as "official" was because there seemed to be some hesitation in the message. Anyway . . .

Alas, that's to bad. Hopefully, the story will be insane ( as in a good thing ), and much character development will be involved. As long as I get my greedy hands on it eventually, I'll be happy. :) Thanks for the pointer, Rev7.

Well just to clarify Force Unleashed.net isn't the official site but we only post official news or if its not official it would be noted thus. Its definitely been delayed though, its on LucasArts' website as summer.

Hmm, I think that the real reason for the delay is the Wii. That's right, as the last console that the devs started working on, I think they're not even on the debugging stage of that version. Besides, they didn't wanted to push the date away from 2007, but since that can't be redone, they don't see to have any more restraints on delaying, which is for me, all right.
