I recently got XWA working again :clap2: . But the sound effects like lasers and explosions don't show. For example when I fire my weapons i get silence. But the voices and music work just fine. Can someone help me?

The music looping problem is more common than the one you're describing, so I'd have little clue about this one. The LucasArts forums (http://forums.lucasarts.com) are one place to try to get help (look for the "Other LucasArts Games" forum in the "PC Support" section); Totally Games' new message board (http://www.totallygames.com/phpBB2/index.php) is another place to try.

Thanks for the links.
To elaborate on this problem, when I fire a laser or see an explosion onscreen, I do not hear the corresponding sound effect. Though the voice and music effects work just fine. This only happens when I am playing a mission. All the sound efx in the briefing room, concourse area, and menus work just fine.

I run XP home edition
Sound Card: Aureal Vortex 8830 Audio (WDM) (I think thats the sound card.)
Video Card: Nvidia Riva TNT2/TNT2 Pro
Pentium 3 processor 550 mHz.
