I tried to post this in the Tech Support forum, but it said I don't have permission to use it....

Anyway, I just got Star Wars Galaxies and my computer meets the specs, but it runs horrible. I turn down the graphics and it still freezes. Are there any tricks to get a better framerate, and if not, what do i need to upgrade to make it run good? Thanks

you definitely need more ram. trust me on that one. when i had 512 ram it took like 5-10 minutes to load and forget mos eisley or theed or even restuss! upgraded to 1 gigabyte and it ran SO much better, even on AOL.

Your first problem is......
Driver Date/Size: 10/22/2006 12:22:00 Out of date! Grab the latest nvidia drivers http://www.nvidia.com) - install then reboot. You might also want to grab the latest version of direct x9c from Microsoft.com

I found something I hadn't turned down and then I upgraded my graphics drivers. Now it runs great, not on low detail either. Thanks.
