Here's some roses for you, Frenchyd. Sure, they might not be real, but is that really the point?

By the way, the plural form of moose is moose. For example: Frenchyd owns one moose. Storken has 10 moose.

As for interesting things to reply to, I'm not an interesting guy, so I can't help you out there.

storken: I thought you're not supposed to use the -ez ending for verbs when used for first-person (i.e. "je")... but then again, it's been a while since I took French, never had the chance to freshen up on it.

Frenchyd: Heh, guess I can gloat over you now http://www.escapemi.com/forums/tongue.gif) I know some French, some Japanese, Chinese, and English (English? Who'd have thunk it?)... http://www.escapemi.com/forums/biggrin.gif)

Seriously, though... I'm sure if you want to, you can take some foreign language classes in high school (it's a graduation requirement where I live, so I've got no choice http://www.escapemi.com/forums/frown.gif). And your English looks fine to me. http://www.escapemi.com/forums/smile.gif)

Anyway, all French aside, I am 16. I am in many advanced classes, so I am forced to study a lot. I am in French 103 at the University of Washington. I am also in an AP US history class and a Pre-AP English Literature class, so I know a lot of literary movements and confusing trivia, but I'm not as smart as I sound.
And the only reason I'm an excellent English speaker is because it's my native language. I don't think I'd have the commitment to learn it as a second language. If you need any grammar help, I'm around.

English is easy to me. It has always been. I don't know the reason 'tho.

Take deutsch. It's VERY HARD and I can't speak the language even if I try to study it.

Ich HeiЯe Steven. Ich wohne in Warrington in Nordwestengland.

Je m'apelle Steven. J'habite en Warrington en le nord-ouest de Angleterre.

I probably make some mistakes, but hey, who cares? I know a bit more but can't be arsed posted it here. I only speak English, French and a bit of German.

Magnus, yes, Norway is renouned for good English, along with Germany, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Holland, most Germanic (Austria, Poland etc.)countries, and, more recently and to a much lesser extent, Italy and Spain.

Most French speak good English too. But in France people either speak it fluently or not at all. And German have difficulty with tensal verbs.

But Brits are renouned for speaking English and English only...we are all balls at other languages. But you probably knew that already :P

Yes. I knew that.
Dinghy Dog: You say that you speak bad french, but you most certanly don`t, if you used no translation programs, which I am 100% sure you didn`t, so you don`t need to answer.
Feral: Je m`appelle. I think it`s called est, for east, but I`m not sure.
Without using anything: Posted by Dinghy Dog, now in English: Yes, I am 16 years, but it might not be evident, because I speak other languages well (not sure here), but it`s true, I am 16 years. I may speak french, but I speak bad (that`s not true). Frenchyd: Seattle is a nice town, right? I love/like the (insert something here) Jimi Hendrix is my favourite musician. I don`t like the Space Needle. I watch it often/never. (Don`t remember)
And now in norwegian, (I speak three, languages): Ja, jeg er 16 еr, men det er kanskje ikke sе tydelig, fordi jeg snakker andre sprеk bra, men det er sant, jeg er 16 еr. Jeg snakker kanskje fransk, men jeg snakker dеrlig fransk. Frenchyd: Seattle er en fin by, ikke sant. Jeg liker (something) Jimi Hendrix (is it Jimi or Jimmy or Jimy or whatever?) er min favorittsanger. Jeg liker ikke Space Needle (What?). Jeg ser aldri/ofte pе det.
Haha. I am tri-lingual.

Hmmm...it looks like I should have used voir instead of regarder when I talked about the Space Needle. Zut.
I think translating what I said from French into Norweigan back into English gets a little different effect then just French into English. It's kind of funny how different languages have different expressions and such. I'm not saying you're wrong MagnusB, it's just that our translations vary just ever so slightly.
Here's my translation: Yes, I'm 16 years old. Maybe it isn't evident, since I know many long English words, but it's true, I'm 16. I can speak french, but I speak poorly. Frenchyd, Seattle is a good city, right? I like EMP because Jimi Hendrix is my favorite musician. I don't like the Space Needle. I see it often.

So I guess our translations don't vary that much. Anyway, Hendrix's name is spelled just Jimi. I should know, being from his home town and all. I'm sure many of you don't know, but the Space Needle is a big tower kind of thing that was built for a World's Fair in the 60s. It kind of looks like that one tower in Las Vegas, or that one in Toronto. Consult your local library. EMP stands for Experience Music Project. It is a big rock and roll museum that was built very recently. It is huge and has a large section focused towards Jimi Hendrix.

Thank you for the compliments on by language speaking. As for all those Scandanavian languages, those look tough. Frenchyd, most people who live in the northern section of North America can only speak English, (Quebec is the exception) so don't feel bad. I'm surprised that I can communicate in a language other than English.

yes, i am 16 blah blah blah, frenchyd, seattle is a good (nice?) city is it not? Jimi hendrix is my favourite musician and i dont like the space needle./. blah blah...

Dinghy Dog: You`re right, my translation wasn`t perfect, but after all, I`m only 14, right? Well anyways, I guess scandinavian languages are more difficult than for example english, but they aren`t that hard. I think that finnish looks harder to learn than for example swedish, but then again, I can`t be fair in judging, but there are so many vowels.
