Hey, fixed my fonts in the game using the download, but would like to know if someone has figured out the issue with the targeting box not showing up, thanks!

We are aware of the problem, but since it's very recent, no one has really come up w/ a solution yet.

You people having this problem may want to make a post on nVidia's forum (http://forums.nvidia.com). While it's primarily a user-to-user forum, there's a chance someone working for nVidia could be monitoring them.

i doubt that they'd do anything regarding an 8 year old game but i'll try

What did you download to get rid of the text problem?

CLONECOMMANDER501

The files found on this page (http://www.lucasfiles.com/?s=&action=category&id=107) address the HUD text problem...the "all-resolution" set seems to work well, though.

I got the same problem i can't see the marker in the main window, when an object is targeted. It works in the radars on the top corners. I also got a 8800gts card

Someone on another board has suggested that this is a problem w/ a pirated version of the game. :|

I also have that problem, but it continued even after i put back the normal (ugly) fonts...

I have an original game, so it's simply impossible that it is a problem with pirate versions...

Someone on the nVidia forums posted that he has a fix, but the link he gives leads back to the X-Wing Alliance Patches category page on LucasFiles, and the fix has yet to be listed there, so there may be a delay in getting the fix listed (if, indeed, it now exists).

Anyone ever figure this out?

Just spent a few hours changing every setting in the nvidia control panel, but no go.
