In Rogue Squadron II if you hold the brake and the gas as you are turning your ship will turn much faster then with the brake alone it also manuvers better in general
In RS I you can change the rate that your lasers fire at (fire modes) while slower Dual and Quad lasers are more powerful and if this happens to you aciddently or if you wish to switch modes tap the L2 button
that might be handy one day...
