In the FoC map editor that is comming up (at least I hope it is) they should give the player the ability to make their own GC maps. This could be by simply letting them drag planets into the galactic map and say wich planets are connected. this way you can also set trade routes and you should be able to place starting units/structures on the planets. Hope this will be there.
So does a lot of people, I'd LOVE to be able to make my own GC maps, all the original ones just don't suit me perfectly.
