Hello

I was wondering if there might be a camera enhancement mod available that give you the ability to zoom out a bit more on the space maps, as when the Executor or Eclipse enter the whole map is almost blocked. I would just like to zoom out a bit more.

Also in ground mode I remember that I had a camera mod that enabled you to pan the camera more similar to Dawn of War style camera, but this doesn't seem to work with FOC.

Lastly is it possible to hide the user interface at the bottom of the screen?

Thanks,
Gian

At present there aren't any mods for FoC that allow for zooming out on the very large space maps.

The only current way to control the angle/pitch of the camera is by selecting a unit and pressing "C" (if your controls are still int he default mode). Once you enter the camera mode, you may use the mouse to move around (and the wheel to pan in and out) to get an angle you like. The disadvantage is that this will not allow you to "bounce" from unit to unit as you would in Battlecam (spacebar) mode.

The UI is not hideable at present.

Hope this helps :)!

about your last question if you're talking about the buildbar/minimap thing yeah you can "hide" that by pressing the letter i on your keyboard and show it again by pressing i once again. :)

Not so; you can use combinations of CTRL and the middle mouse button to pan the camera around during normal play (i.e., without locking onto a unit by pressing C). And as ImpElite mentioned, you don't need any mod to hide the UI, just press 'I'!

Just use my Camera Free Mod for EAW it works for FoC also. But a full one FoC due to the larger map area would be nice. It works well for slower computers so that th draw distance does not ruin your FPS (reason why camera is restricted in the first place).

It lets you turn the camera like in space and it will stay at your angle pitch and pull out distance. Plus the battle camera still works partially (only the single unit C does not stay put, it switches between whole battle like a movie). Better full version for FoC later...use same as the camera Debug Mode settings. You will need a fast computer to see that action on FoC bigger maps.

Once I figure out the bugged end event conditions on the GC maps (such as wiping out the Rebels and winning when you are suppossed to take out the Consortium Force also, as the Empire). It says you must remove both, not just one enemy the "Origin of Courruption" GC map. I rewrote the XML so it is in control of all named planets to win.

I fixed win condition well for the Empire on the Origin GC SP map. Now the rest that I know what I am doing...plus you can put in different goals (such as in the Maw GC: Turn limit 60 and have certain planets' ownership). BTY You can have it if you lose your home planet, Main Hero, Superweapon, etc. Alot of modding stuff you can do here.

Each GC map and Faction have a different goal by vanilla (and it does not work) Thus they also have the Credits movie screen play when you win since the XML is all screwed up for some reason (one 'movie' for all placeholder). It does not know the proper movie to play. I fixed that too for the Empire so far.
