Well, here is the first part of my attempt to build a solid storyline for a Kotor III game. Before I start, there are some important things in this story.

Before the start of the game, there has been a raid on what everyone thinks to be a research facility on Ord Mantell. In reality, this is a cloning facility. The republic has sent HK-47 to investigate this raid. After a lot of investigating he / they think it is being done by a bounty hunter.

That's the intro so here comes the first (short) part of the story which begins on Coruscant.

It is a casual day and you wake up to report for duty. Depending on what you have chosen to be: assassin / soldier / scout / spy / tech. specialist you are given an assignment by your superior officer.

More about your character: You abandoned the Jedi order some time ago, at least that's what you think. I can tell you more but that would be a major spoiler to the story.

On your own, you undertake a few quests, solve a few things. You can start gaining LS or DS points. When you finished some quests, you walk back to your headquarters. Then an old man runs to you. You are surprised the old man is so fast and energetic for he looks like his age could be close to 100 years old. When he stops he begs for a few credits.
After you speak briefly to him, you hear quiet loud: “Get Down”. As in a reflex, you do so and the next thing you see is the old man draws a red bladed lightsaber while from another corner as far as you could make out, a Jedi appears (Trisha Vale), purple lightsaber ignited and another guy who looks like a republic spy or something (John Dodonna). The old man force pushes you into a wall but he wasn’t able to win from both Trisha and John. John got hurt. When some medics arrive you vaguely make out that John was carried away by them. One medic comes to you. Trisha says to the medic: “He/she seems to be all right.” The medic will apply a medpac to aid in your recovery. When you regain full consciousness Trisha will ask you to come with her to Jedi master Kral.
Off course, there are the LS / neutral or the DS responses but in any event, you will come with her.

What happens if you say you don’t want to come with Trisha? She will tell you: “Sure, but next time some Sith makes an attempt on your live, I won’t be around.”

Your only possible responses are:
1: “You got a point, okay I’ll come with you”
2: “Okay, but when I have learned how to deal with these sith, I’ll personally strap you in a fighter and set it on autopilot to the Coruscant sun.”

On the way to Kral, Trisha will tell you more about the Jedi order, some history etc. etc., the usual Jedi cryptic stuff. Trisha will however not tell you yet why she was there to protect you. She will only tell you that when you have done some training, understand the Jedi code, choose a Jedi class (Guardian / Sentinel or Consular) and you successfully build a lightsaber.

This building of a lightsaber cannot be done like in Kotor I by simply choosing your Jedi class and ask for a hilt and crystal. No, you will have to travel to the polar region of Coruscant and to two of its moons. There, you will find appropriate resources and a crystal cave. Like in Kotor I, no Jedi will be allowed to come with you so Trisha will stay behind.
John Dodonna however, who has just recovered will come with you. You can speak with John about his assignment and get to know him better. Just like you could in Kotor I after each level up (side quests will be available on Coruscant central region and on the moons).
After you have been to several places by using Coruscant public transport and shuttle services to some moons you report back to Master Kral and begin construction of your lightsaber.

Kral then begins that normally you will have to undertake some mission to end something of the dark side but as there are so few Jedi left he asks you to do a mission for the Republic. One of the Admirals (Cede or Carth) will be present at this stage and will go over the mission you need to undertake. The admiral will say that they first assigned the HK-47 droid to undertake it, but he has come to loose ends and they believe that a Jedi with force abilities would provide more answers, which means you will team up with HK-47 to solve the mystery regarding the raid on the research facility (they think it is some research station while in truth, it is the cloning facility where you were created). This is where you leave Coruscant. The Republic will give you a ship: the Shrike Hunter, a fast ship that can hold about 5 people max.
The planet you are going to is Ord Mantell.

Some info about the storyline proposal; you can:
• Select Revan’s and the Exile’s alignment, gender and face
• Be another species

You get:
• The Ebon Hawk
• Except for again HK-47 / T3-M4 all new party members
• Cameo appearances of: Atton / Bastila / Carth or Cede / Visas / Mandalore / Mira (Exile LS) and perhaps Jolee (Revan LS) / Bao Dur.

You don’t get:
• To play as Revan or the Exile again

Well, not really a lot of story here but as you can imagine, there are a lot of things to do on Coruscant. The main quest maybe short on this planet but I guess that shouldn't be a problem. If you have any questions, just ask. Do you like it or do you hate it? Let me know.

Not much detail and it doesn't interest me much, but it is alright. Seems a lot of people are doing these sort of KOTOR III plans. Also the title, Revan's True Reason doesn't appeal to me either. Why can't we be a Scoundrel? Scoundrels are better than Soldiers in my opinion. Well, anyway I'll keep my eye on this.

Hi Pottsie,

Okay, you can be a scoundrel. I just summoned a lot of professions but if you want to be a scoundrel at the start, that's fine. About the detail, yes, it's not completely detailed but that does make it easier to read. If anyone has suggestions, additions etc. I may be able to include them as well. I just edited the title, The battle for the Republic may be simple, but IMO it does sound better. Anyone has suggestions for a good title, let me know.
