and mate, what do you mean by underrated and overrated fics?

Underrated Fics are Fics that you consider is good, but hardly anyone reads it (Example, Family Guy is one of the best cartoons, but it's underrated) and Overrated Fics are Fics that are good, but loads of people read them and don't bother on anything else (Example, The Simpsons). Hope this helps. Like I said, you don't have to bother with them sections if you want.

Also there was something like this last year.

Well, I made up a list of the fics that I've read and I tried to match them up with the award, but it is very difficult. Also, I haven't read to many fics. I mainly read the underrated ones. I will vote eventually, I just need to look around some more, maybe skim over another fic or two. :D

May I recommend dropping the 'best overrated fic'? It's not really a positive category.
And I need a _lot_ more time to read the fics before I even begin to consider a vote.... :)

I wouldn't mind if my fic were overrated. It would mean more people reading it. Of course, I might not want someone calling it overrated.

And I need a _lot_ more time to read the fics before I even begin to consider a vote.... :)

Ditto here.

Not many people read connor's stuff though.

EDIT: I've decided to take Jae's advice and remove Most Overrated Fic off the awards.

I will post my vote nearer to the end of the year, seeing as I am new here.

But what about changing your vote? I ask because I just made a new story. I'm not saying I'm really all that great or that I'll even merit a vote, but since I haven't been here long enough to know how long you are allowed to edit your post after posting, if it's not a long time, do you have to post a new vote after reading a new story that you like if you posted your votes a while ago? :) Thanks! :)

Yeah, the year is still young. Other fanfics will undoubtedly be written. I'll probably read some other existing fanfics. I think that I'll wait to vote until later in the year, unless there's a deadline, or something.

My votes are all for Jae :D Her fanfic is the best I've ever read, not to mention her character Jae Onasi and her amazing ability to capture Jolee's personality. Now if someone would only write a HK-47 fanfic, YOU STUPID MEATBAGS!!! LOL (If I could vote for my own fanfics, I would still vote for Jae's because I know it's better than both mine are)

and i believe stinger has also written one? i'm not really sure. its been a while.actually, i have two of them. one is finished, although i've been heavily weighing the decision to rewrite the ending so its more of a standalone work than it currently is. the other one is just about complete, and it is being written to be pretty much a standalone work. there will be sequels, though. ;)

After Carefully looking over all my favorite fanfics, I have come up with the following:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Best Character: Jeez from Betrayal and Retribution: Percieved Reality by~Stingerhs

Most Original/Creative Fanfic: Betrayal and Retribution: Percieved Reality by~Stingerhs

Most Addictive Fanfic: Star Wars: Heart of the Guardian by~JediMaster12

Best Writer: JediMaster12

Best Fanfiction: Betrayal and Retribution: Percieved Reality by~Stingerhs
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

It may only look like I read two fanfic, but I actually read quite a few of them. Betrayal and Retribution: Percieved Reality and Heart of the Guardian were my two most favorite.

GOOD LUCK STINGERHS AND JEDIMASTER12!!!!

Nice idea Jason, I'll put those up and my Votes. Also four new things to vote for.

Best Heroine
Best Villian
Best Villainess

On another note, you don't have to nominate every category, but it would be nice as those are the main ones. I'll add the new sections now. Feel free to edit your posts and add them on.

Also Jason, I hope you vote sometime either this year or next year.

i think youre overdosing on the voting list, Pottsie. the older members and readers will forget what they voted for when they click the "Post Reply" button :D. seriously though. An incomplete fic will obviously be completed by the time the year ends, and so, thats un-needed. secondly, we have a great critic, Mach. so obviously, we cant have any more, so that field is a no-need as well. thirdly, "Best Completed Fic" is the same as "Best Fic". no need for that as well.

don't worry. just you wait and see, by the end of the year your thread will be flooded with votes. you just need to give others some time to read :)
