Ok, so I was reading about how hard this book is to find and how expensive it is. I go down to my local comic shop and pick up a copy for $11.32. I take it that was a steal.

I went back and found/bought the Sam & Max Freelance Police: Special Color Collection, and a couple copies of the ONI Double Feature #10. (If anybody needs a copy) It only had the 1 page strip.

And yes while true, I do not have the super cool drawing (you lucky weasel) on the inside cover, I feel lucky to have found the collection period. I literally just stumbled across it and came on line to see where I remembered the strip from. So, now I have read parts of it and feel the need to track down a copy of the game. (Ebay.... ahhh).

Anyway, it was this boards high praise that introduced me to the characters. Before this I had seen a few episodes of the short lived cartoon series.

Thanks
Everyone's Pal

I wouldn't know what pricing he'd want, but he may just do it because he's a fan-lover. He did my cover because the price went so high and to Steve it seemed worthy.

I would love to get an xbox 360 skin/stickers (3 sides) with sam and max. Maybe I'll wait for the blank or the clear ones to come out and paint on them.

What? Let's get Sam and Max pleather seats for our cars while were at it. Maybe I can even use a cock ring with Max's face on it. I want Sam and Max stickers telling every ****ing liberal jack off to support our troops, god damn it my legs are missing. Oh yeah, then I can dial my peeps up on my new Sam and Max celly that says "I'd be peeing my pants if I wore any" on repeat for my really ****ing loud ringtone that not a damn soul in the world should care about if there is any sanctity left in this marketing wasteland.

70 dollars?! Are you for real? He drew mine for free...

I emailed him and asked him if he could autograph my book. I mailed him the book and he mailed it back full of fun drawings.

it was 70 dollars because i bought the book from him. then in an email to me, he stated that since the price was so high, he felt obligated to do something nice and wondered if he could do a little sketch as a thank you.

Why would I hate Hot Topic? They are "Everything about the music" after all.

What are you? "Everything not about the music?" You anti-American jerk.

And also apparently black people are bad.

Score, I got a free copy of Surfin' the Highway! My friend nabbed it at Half-Price Books several months ago, and then he gave it to me today. It's in better condition than mine, but I don't plan on selling it.

I think if there were any left they went ahead and bought it for 80 dollars on Ebay.

Speaking of rare books, anyone have the Complete Little Nemo book for under 80 dollars?

I've got two copies that I've found at used book-stores pretty cheap, and I want to sell 'em to some fans, not at ridiculous eBay prices, but hopefully still at a profit (I'm trying to save some money for a DS Lite). If anyone is interested in one, let me know. My email address is perplexagon at gmail dot com.

i've been tearing the pages out of my copy so that I could pick up dead roaches and flush them. Seriously, roaches are really gross you guys. And ive been using the cover as a coaster for my gin and laxatives. Oh, I have money invested in the Hot Topic franchise, so i'd appreciate it if you wouldn't speak poorly of the store in front of the impressionable youth.

Long ago in the days of yore (when I was still in high school), I bought not one, but two copies of Surfin' the Highway in first edition hardcover off of Amazon.com (told you it was a long time ago). One of them has been read a lot and the dust jacket has seen better days (book itself is still in very good to excellent condition), but the second one is a signed and numbered collectors edition (#83 out of 1250) and is in brand new condition. Do you guys think that one is worth anything? I'm not planning on selling it any time soon, but it's one of those "Nice to know" kinds of things.

Well it won't be worth **** if they rerelease it, so you'd better sell it soon. Besides signatures are weak.

Besides signatures are weak.

*shrug* I bought it on a whim, honestly. And without reading the description very well I might add. They had it listed as "Signed col edition" and I took "col" to mean "color". I was mildly disappointed about that, though getting such a low serial was a nice surprise. Oh well, I'll just return to my state of shock that the book is worth anything at all. I love it to death, but I never knew it was all that rare.
