I don't know how they make money off of those things when free walkthroughs are all over the internet... Anyways, I won't look at a walkthrough/strategy guide until after I beat the game.

I think useing a walkthrough takes away all the fun, It should only be used if you cant beat a level/boss or somthing after loads of attempts

I dont like strategy guides either. They take the fun out of games by just telling you what to do. I think the whole fun of games is learning the strategies yourself. Besides, these guides are usually not what you expect. They only reword things that you should already know if you played the game.

Why do so many people here take topics from the PFF forums?

My only use for walkthroughs/Stragety guides is to find out if I missed anything
( Items, secrets, etc) after playing through the story/campaign a couple of times.

like me, :marx1:

They usually suck! And even if you don't look at the walkthrough, they usually tell you stuff that you already know after a day of playing.

Online strategies have a 99% chance of being bad... why? There is a difference between having thousands of people playing and a few 'testers'.

Those things are only good until a few patches come out. Then, they're obsolete.

I have one for Diablo II. I got it for free with the game and frankly, after 2 patches it became useless. The Walkthrough was still ok, but everything else had become useless.

I think strategy guides kill the excitement personally. The whole point of this game is to create your own strategi initiatives. But, to each their own.

I'm gonna have to agree with u guys. I don't know if ne1 else is a Zelda fan, but I love the games (especially OOT), and frankly, teh guides take nearly all the fun out of it.

I like getting the strategy guide simply for the weapons and the vehicle descriptions :D Plus, I like to collect them :) I think I have 15-20 now...
