The music was removed from the site at the request of LucasArts.

However, if you have the PC version it is very easy to listen to the sound and music files. Read the sound section in this tutorial: http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=143421)

personally, i wouldn't mind having LA release the TSL soundtrack on CD. then, i could import all the high-quality music into the game to replace the cassette-quality music that we have now.

just don't count on me ever releasing it to the public, assuming LA releases the soundtrack. that does count as piracy, and i don't plan on getting into trouble over it.

still, it would be nice for me.......:D

You can find a few legal TSL soundtracks on Mark Griskey's (the composer) website. The quality is better than the tracks included in the game and I've replaced them already (problem is that there are only 3 tracks :( )

Query: What file do I have to replace? Do I have to convert them to anything to play them in-game?

The music files are located in the streammusic folder.

Rename:
- the Sith lords intro file to mus_a_main
- the Jek Jek Tar battle music to mus_bat_303
- Darth Sion's theme to mus_sion

and drop the files into your streammusic folder. I remaned the original files o_mus_a_main.mp3 , o_mus_bat_303.mp3 and o_mus_sion.mp3 to keep them (o stands for "original")
