I just upgraded to Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition, and the game does not install. It does not even finish loading setup to install the game. When the setup says it is perparing the InstallWizard, it pops up a dialog box with an error message:
Error Code: -5006 : 0x80070017

The error details are:

Error Information:
>SetupDLL\SetupDLL.cpp (1281)
pAPP:Star Wars Battlefront
PVENDOR:LucasArts
PGUID:C79CB9C7-10A4-4814-8402-F574672C2192
$7.1.100.1248
@Windows (3790) BT_OTHER 33816.30708

Does anyone know about this?
Anyone install it on Windows 2003 yet?

Yeah I have the exact same problem with Republic Commando. Not sure what to do, though. You got a fix on it yet?

Mine is Windows XP Home Ed SP 2.

It seems to be a cyclic redundancy error... You should make a search on LucasForums using the "Search" function. Use those terms to find a possible solution : "Data error cyclic redundancy check"... ;)

Wow. After 11 months someone replies to my post! Anyway, I think the problem I was having was with the Windows Installer in Win2003. Battlefront could not work with the version I had. I have a dual boot system with Win2003 and Win2000 so I just installed it under Win2000. By now however, they should have released another version of the Windows Installer.

You should make a search using Google, like this one : http://www.google.com/search?q=Windows+Installer&hl=fr)

Make sure you contact the game's Tech Support.

Could you try uninstalling SP2, then installing the game. Test the game to see if it works. If it does install SP2 and test the game again.
