This Is The Worse Mess I Have Ever Seen
BattleFront is undoubtedly the absolute worst game I have ever seen
Why even bother trying to play the damn thing you cant connect to anyone
This thing has so many bugs not even God him self could have created so many different varities

The interface is a mess
trying to scroll through a list of multiplayer games is impossible
let alone trying to connect up

In trying to create a server, this must work on some distant planet other than earth. Because myself and 2 of my friends tried on several different machines and never could get one where we could connect

We run 8 JK2 and JA rooms dedicated servers
we run 7 HL, Counter Strike and Natural Selections servers
we run 10 different websites --- we are not that dumb
But Starwars BattleFront ?????? NO WAY
This is the worst nightmare I have ever come across

All I can say is where do we get our money back?
I dont think they can come up with enough patches to save this disaster

and talk about computer resources --
Well perhaps Bill Gates and the Pentagon can play the game ... but anyone making under a 100 Gs a month probably wont be able to afford the equipment necessary to run this dinosaur

If I sound critical ... I am not even getting started

Do you people even beta test these things??

We are making posts on our site not recommending this game How could Lucas Arts allow such a disaster

after 2 weeks an $50 bucks I am going to line my catbox with the pages from the manual thats the only good thing I can say about this

They should have paid less attention on the real to life movie clips
and more about the game
If I wanted real life I will watch the news
People want good graphics but not movie clips in a game

I think they tried to compete with LOR and HL and missed on all accounts

of course this is the PC version I am talking about.... maybe its only for PS2s or Xboxes

and the marriage of GameSpy to this game is a tragic mistake
talk about another dinosaur
these two belong married to each other.....

Next time I suggest taking the consumer into account

We all know that the consstant refressh of the in-game lisst is really freakin sscrewy, and that the MP has a 30FPS cap, and that its laggy, but, with all games, the devs just make a patch or two to fix the problems, and volia! it works.

Have a nice day :wavey:

with the 1.00a patch ping doesnt always show up unlkess you click the server, but servers get listed quicker, and if you select one it will remain selected. this makes it a lot easier to connect to specific servers

i can run this game well on a comp that dosnt meet the system requirements-
833mhz p3
64mb geforce2 (supposedly not even supported)
integrated sound (GAH!)
384 mb pc100 SDRAM

consider that argument busted.

also, someone in my clan figured out how to uncap the FPS:D , i'll be posting that just as soon as i get a reply

My specs:

Win2kpro
AMD Athlon 2400XP+ (2 Ghz)
256 mb pc133 ram
ATI All-in-Wonder 9600 (128 mb DDR) video card
Soundblaster Live! soundcard
DX 9.0c
latest catalyst drivers (no betas)
DSL connection (256k or 384k I don't remember)

I played my first "real" online game today (with the new 1.01 patch) and it was choppy as heck when there were 16 people playing (no bots, no Jedi, just humans). From the time it was 2 players to 16, my ping jumped from 170 ms to 270 ms. This was on the server that had the best ping to me, period (four out of five green bars IIRC), and was with the in-game browser, not gamespy.

I agree, more patch fixes are needed...

I have had no problems, the server list can be anoying yes, but after some effort i can connect to the games i want to play, and thats when the fun starts!

Sometimes its laggy but FGS its a internet game, thats what happens, it lags.

There are issues, but when you get into the game, they all float away as you start blasting people from the other side of the world! :)

Could be true, BUT with XFire it's easier to join servers :fett:

The game works yes, but compared to other FPS online games I play, it's "buggy" by comparision. And yes, with patience and determination you can play, but that's after you leap over the hurdles placed in your way.

The developers could do some more work to remove those hurdles, that's the point of my posting. Otherwise I'd say "gee, it takes me forever to get into a game, and then I don't get to play very long, but it sure is fun that little bit in the middle!"

Since we know they have released patches and will release more, I figure I can hold out rather than settling for mediocre stuff right now. ; P

I stopped reading when I read "I am just getting started". Yeah, I disagree with what you said up until that point. Perhaps you just have inappropiate hard/software?
