this post is SPOILER SENSITIVE. BEWARE.

now, thanks to the good people at the one and only Rogue Leader board on GameFAQs, we have this info including the mission names of all 11 RS2 levels confirmed, including info on all 11 levels in specific (though the info on the levels themselves hasnt necessarily been posted yet). well actually, there is available info on most levels on the RL gamefaqs board, but you might have to look hard for it.

as soon as there's info on all 11 available, i'll post an appropriate link here.

anyway, to view ALL 11 RS2 mission titles + 1 bonus mission, and a tidbit of info on one very cool level that takes place in both an asteroid field in outer space AND on the actual planet itself, all in one level, well, go here:
http://cgi.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.asp?board=32500&topic=1483591)

oh, and in case you want a link straight to the entire Rogue Leader board, with TONS of info (look for all the SPOILERS topics), then here's the link straight to the RL board.
http://cgi.gamefaqs.com/boards/gentopic.asp?board=32500)

bon appetit.

*buys geforce 2 card* heh, so much for rogue leader...I think i'll buy a PS2 since jedi outcast is coming to it, and it's got a dvd player and tons of star wars games. LEC never comes out with more than 4 star wars games for any nintendo system, and the ones they come out with aren't the ones i most want. (remembers tpm coming to psx and not n64 http://www.roguesquadron.net/forums/mad.gif) )

so, i'll get it on a rom in a decade or 2.

you're a regular/veteran at a site called ROGUE SQUADRON.net and there are other Star Wars games you want more?

I cant possibly see what. please dont tell me Starfighter, Obi-wan, or Racer's Revenge 2 are any of them.

even so, Rogue Squadron isn't among any of the Star Wars games you want the most? then why on earth have you spent over 2 years and almost 3000 posts of your life on a ROGUE SQUADRON web site?

don't get me wrong, I am not saying there is anything wrong with your decision or opinion, I am just REALLY curious.

well...i'm still in decision, $200 (gamecube and rogue leader) is not worth only 1 game. I need PROOF that lec will bring loads more games (GOOD ONES) to cube than to ps2.

besides, Rogue Leader isn't a TRUE sequel like Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is.

i'm still deciding. heheh. i'll probably end up going w/gamecube. cause of Rogue Leader, that luigi game looks OK, the console's not going to be $200 (isn't it going to be like $150?)

no, Gamecube is $200.

and word to the wise: i wouldn't bother with the Luigi game. i'm sure its good, and it'd be an awesome game if you didn't have to pay for it. but $50 for 4 floors in a mansion plus the area outside the mansion doesn't sound too appealing to me.

and what do you mean Rogue Leader isn't a TRUE SEQUEL?

haha are you crazy? what the hell does a true sequel mean?

let's see, the game is called Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2, and it's made by EXACTLY the same people as the first game. all new levels, all new story, all new features, and lots of new ships (B-wing, Cloud Car, Imperial Shuttle, TIE Advanced, regular TIE, etc). how can you say Rogue Leader isn't a true sequel?

just what is your definition of "true" sequel? I am SO CURIOUS. if you say Rogue Leader isn't a "true sequel" then I dont think i'd want a "true sequel" anyway! :P

BTW, if it helps your decision, check out the poll at Lucasarts.com. they have been asking what system you're going to be playing the most. PC is obviously ahead, but out of the 3 consoles (Xbox, GCN, PS2), Gamecube is waaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of Xbox and PS2.

It's not a true sequel because it's not a continuation of the RS storyline.

C'mon, guys, this is exactly what we wanted...begged Lucasarts for...the only difference is that we had thought it woul be an update to the old RS for PC, not a game for an entirely new console. But if at all possible, I will get RS2...

hey redwing, will this be your first console?

I wonder if they'll come out with any really good star wars games after rogue leader.

I'd like a GOOD episode 2 one, and not a racing one either. one where u can walk on foot, like tpm, or jedi knight.

you're right, its not a continuation of the RS storyline, its an ALL NEW storyline.

besides, RS barely had any storyline, Factor 5 and Lucasarts said this themselves. it was all just like a bunch of random missions posted together. any storyline to the game was an after thought.

I think this game will be what the storyline should have been from the beginning..it tells the story of how Rogue Squadron was formed and carries that story all the way up until the destruction and annialation of the Empire.

what more could you want? its still a true sequel. its made by the same company, its based on the same thing except it actualy has a storyline, an epic one at that, man I duno, to me its everything and anything that a sequel could ever be.

I hope you realize that there's not going to be a PC port of Rogue Leader.

and IF i mean IF there is, it won't be til at least November 2002, a year after it comes out for the Cube. just look at Starfighter for PS2.

but it still isnt going to be ported. you should read my post in response to you at gamefaqs. Rogue Leader uses many effects that can ONLY be achieved on the Cube. seriously, if you're looking for more of the technical aspects of WHY it wont appear on the PC, go read my post at gamefaqs. the Cube can do 8 texture effects in one pass, compared to Xbox 4 and PS2 1. not to mention the 1T-SRAM embedded into the flipper chip which is something that has NEVER BEEN DONE in the world of hardware, period.

its not going to appear on the PC.

if you can wait 5 years you might as well just buy a used Gamecube for $50 and a used Rogue Leader for like $20.
